We came here in July with our young baby (9 weeks). The location is fantastic, with stunning views in a quiet village not far from Alpe D'Huez (can be accessed by cable car too). The beds were comfortable, the accommodation was clean and spacious, and the breakfasts were very nice too. The also provide dinners for an extra fee which are definitely worth it (we had two) - excellent food and a friendly atmosphere. They were very chilled about the baby, which made us feel relaxed too. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay but with children and under the new ownership. Beautiful chalet with nice touches like the outdoor hot tub. Especially good if you are a good skier and go off for the whole day using the extensive lift system from Vaujany.....car is a must and you can easily drive to Alpe d'huez if you prefer.....priced very reasonably it makes a great alternative to some of the more expensive resort chalets which at Xmas or holidays charge 2 or 3 times usual price and for children too. They were fantastic with the children and made it easy for us to enjoy the delicious dinner after the kids had eaten, they could entertain themselves in another room or play alongside us without annoying the other guests. (ages 5 and 8). Our hosts were very helpful and ensured we had a great stay. I do not recommend the ESF at Vaujany......for young children Alpes d'huez is much better, especially if your kids are beginners.I would consider staying there are driving down the valley to another resort like Alpe d'huez........Taking the whole chalet would be a great idea.....Summer must be fantastic too.

Thank you so so much Pieter and Therese, we had the most wonderful time in your beautiful home in the Alpes. A very special place with gorgeous rooms, delicious food with amazing presentation and excellent service. Loved our jacuzzi on the first glorious evening situated in your beautiful garden surrounded by the stunning mountains. We were made feel very much at home. Thank you so much.

Great hosts and a very homely environment. Very flexible with children and understanding!
Provided separate taylored made meals for little people. Children had somewhere to watch DVDs whilst parents dined. A very cosy place to come back to evening.
Rooms are clean and comfortable and food tasty.
There are buses to get you to the ski resort but you are probably better off with a car especially in the evenings if you venture out. The owners will help with transport.
A good location to hire for a whole group.
A very happy time was had by all!

We stayed with Pieter and Therese (and their daughter Karin) for a week for wintersports. The village Vaujany is well situated for extensive skiing trips, the chalet is only a short ride away from the main ski lifts.
The Chalet Solneige is very nicely situated with a good view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. Rooms are very good, roomy. Pieter and Therese have the knack of making you feel at home the moment that you set foot in the large and nicely furnished living room where they serve excellent food and provide a warm and friendly welcome. Although they have only taken over this business recently, everything goes like clockwork. They find time for a friendly chat, to give directions and advice, arrange skiing passes for the area etc etc.
In brief: we had an excellent holiday, and certainly wouldn't mind repeating the experience.

Therese and Pieter are great hosts and make one feel right at home. The chalet is very comfortable and well-furnished and appointed. good food. nice to have a separate room where one can watch TV or DVDs on a good-sized flat-screen TV. Lovely garden with many areas to sit out in. wicked pear and lemon tarts for tea!

Solneige recently taken over by lovelly couple, Pieter and Theresa who are detrermined to make the chalet a first rate familly friendly place. Great welcome, very comfortable, clean rooms, good home cooked food, more cheese than you can eat and nothing too much trouble. Located 3 Km below the village of Vaujany, you are dependant on the hourly skibus for transport to the lifts but if you cant manage that Pieter is on hand to get you there and back in comfort. With direct likns to the extensive Alp d'Huez bowl, the skiing is fab, varied and compares to Europes top resorts. You are limited somewhat to evenings in the chalet rather than having easy access to Vaujany but we travelled with a mixed group fo children, teenagers and abults and all enjoyed.
