You will see from my review of Le Pre that we lunched there 4 times, but we found this on the last day and wished we had found it earlier. It's no better than Pre, but as well as the usual Savoyard dishes had some different items on the menu from Pre that would have given us some more variety.

The staff were quite busy so not as friendly as at Pre, and they have the audacity to charge for use of their toilets, but in terms of quality of food and value for money this is as good as Pre for lunch.

LaGrange keeps it simple: they serve a menu for around 13.00 euros, which is mostly Savoyard oriented and great for taking in extra calolries and carbo-hydrates. A good place to go and for a restaurant as close as that to the pistes it is inexpensive. Great going for a 'normal' day of food when you are sporting in the mountains.

I really thought the days were gone when a French restaurant would charge it's customers to use their toilet.
We met at this restaurant at lunchtime as we are part of a large party some of whom were on skis and some on foot and it is easily accessible for both. However after ordering and consuming some drinks whilst waiting for others, I asked to use the toilet and was told that there is a 50cent , charge, even for paying customers. I paid the bill for those of us already there and we left to meet the rest of our group at nearby Le Michet instead. Shame as the waitress was very sweet and apologetic.

Traditional decor, good value for the resort, pleasant resturant, good value, large portions. In the evening raclette 21 euros, very large plate of cold meats, endless chees and potatoes, interesting dishes from the blackboard e.g 27 euros for ahuge rib steak, well presented and cooked, 16 euros for a litre of drinkable house plonk. At lunch time dish of the day 14 euros.

Located just off the piste, a great place for a beer and some french fries. Also good coffee and nice view of all the people playing in the snow. Very friendly staff!
