“Hearty fare for hungry skiers!”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

We ate here on our last day and found the service to be very friendly and reasonably quick, the menu selection was good and everything was home-made including the pizzas which were quite large. The French onion soup was very tasty and so were the other dishes that the 5 of us chose.

“Fabulous food and service”
Reviewed 19 March 2014

We have eaten in Cimes for over 5 years on our ski holidays and return every year for outstanding food, very friendly and amazingly efficient service. The menu is very varied catering for all tastes and has plenty of choice. We ate here 5 times in March and enjoyed the variety of traditional dishes and the likes of pizza - all delicious! The staff genuinely make you feel welcome and are always happy and cheerful no matter how busy the restaurant (which it usually is!). Recommend booking to avoid disappointment, especially at weekends. Thanks Cimes, as always for guaranteed great food and friendly welcome :-)

“Comfortable, efficient, decent menu”
Reviewed 24 February 2014

We ate here twice on our February half term trip to Flaine. For a party of 5, ranging from 8 years old to 72 years old (and levels of adventurousness across a similar range) the menu had a good range, and the surroundings were very comfortable and pleasant. Not somewhere which had a rustic alpine charm (but where is that in Flaine anyway!), but reasonably generous space and a decent temperature. Well staffed, with plenty of attention, and good tasting food too. On the first visit the only let down was the kids nuggets and chips (I know, I know, not an adventurous choice!) which were probably less nice than McDonalds would be. But the 8 year old was happy enough! The choice of chips or gratin dauphinoise persuaded us all to the gratin, which was a nice alternative, and the main dishes themselves were nice. Pizzas were huge, and meat portions were decent sized. Prices were as to be expected up here, so don't come expecting a bargain, but we were all very well fed, and we immediately decided to book for a second meal as we knew we wouldn't be disappointed.

We ate here twice as we found the varied menu had something for everyone and the food was nice. Quite large but we never had to wait too long. Good location in Flaine Forum,

“Best restaurant in town but not somewhere for a romantic meal”
Reviewed 16 February 2014

We ate at Brasserie Les Cimes three times while we were in Flaine for a week and had a great meal each time. Service is efficient, the staff are very friendly and cost was around average for Flaine.

The only thing that stops me giving this restaurant an excellent rating is the size of the tables and space between the tables. The tables are small and there is very little space between them. We found ourselves struggling to find a space for drinks glasses and food which can come if several dishes (main meal, salad, potato wedges, etc). We also found ourselves listening to the conversation at the next table as you can help but overhear everything that is being said.

Overall I'd highly recommend the food and service for a family meal for not somewhere for a romantic meal for two. I'd also recommend that you book for a Friday evening as dozens of people were being turned away.
