“Fantastic, family friendly and luxurious, active holiday destination”
Reviewed 15 November 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Our third stay at Le Chalet and we all returned home feeling thoroughly refreshed by the Alpine air! Le Chalet is perfect for our family of two small boys. The apartments are beautifully appointed but not too precious....a benefit with youngsters. They open up to the fantastic views of the Lormay Valley, where you can hear the cow bells ringing all around you....the kids love waking up to this sound.

The Alps in the summer is a lovely climate, sunny but fresh, but without the crowds that you might find during ski season.

Le Grand Bornand is a small but lovely village and has a fantastic open air swimming pool which is great value and very clean with a variety of pools for different ages. It also has a brilliant Parcours course.

Le Chalet is close to Annecy, with its beautiful town but also some lovely beaches; Lake Passy, with beaches, water sports and inflatables on the Lake and Chamonix amongst other many other great places.

The hosts at Chalet le 4 will make you feel very welcome and even head out to the local boulangerie most mornings to pick up your order of pastries...in time for breakfast.

All in all....i couldn't recommend Le Chalet highly enough...we are looking forward to our 4th stay there.

“Family-friendly Alpine joy”

Chalet le 4 is a gem. We keep coming back because it offers everything we need as a family. The setting is magnificent - so tranquil and beautiful - with the best of Le Grand Bornand and alpine sport on your doorstep. The apartments are set up to make life easier for parents, so you feel like you’ve had a break (and not just a change of scenery). Everything is highest quality, with a parent’s eye for detail. We especially enjoy the fresh croissants in the morning, baby monitoring system, swimming pool and well-stocked playroom. Eva is a fabulous cook too. We can’t recommend it highly enough. If you want your kids to fall in love with the mountains, then take them to Chalet le 4.

“Great accomodation in wonderful environment”
Reviewed 22 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We came here for the second year in a row, after last year was already a big success. We're a family with 3 kids (9,8,6).

The appartment is spacious, fully equipped, has 2 bathrooms, a balcony and further everything you could wish for. There are 3 other appartments in the chalet. Further it has a playing room for the kids, an indoor pool, a fitness, a sauna, laundry machines and a massage room. We experienced it as a luxury accomodation at a very reasonable price.

The surroundings are beautiful, great mountain views from the balcony, super hiking trails at walking distance. And in general there is plenty to do in the area, it has a well developed tourism infrastructure but is not so busy in the summer season. Highlights: Hiking trails, midget golf at Les Confins with great mountain views, rodeling in La Clusaz, the Annecy lake, gletsjer visit in Chamonix.

Further, there are plenty of nice restaurants, many of them with superb locations in the mountains. There are supermarkets nearby.

In short, this accomodation has everything to enjoy a comfortable, relaxing but active summer mountain holiday! We decided on the spot to book for the winter season as well :)

“Top notch family apartment in Le Grand Bornand”
Reviewed 27 July 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We (including our 3 girls of 10, 8 and 6) LOVED our stay in Chalet le 4. The chalet is stunning and the apartments are compact but very comfortable (good beds, each room with fab bathrooms, a kitchen with everything you could possibly need and comfy seating area). Eva and Piet Hein (and their 4 kids) are wonderful hosts helpful, insightful and charming. They offer a fabulous service of bread in the morning, nespresso capsules, dishwasher, washing tablets etc which we found superb. The chalet is 10 minutes drive from the Grand Bornand ski slope. When we were there in April it was warm (some days 20 degrees) - but the resort managed to stay open and offer proper runs and great skiing for the kids! That meant it was an excellent combination as we would come back dive in the swimming pool (a massive hit with the girls) and sunbathe after. All in all we would highly recommend staying in Chalet le 4! Thank you Eva and Piet Hein!

Reviewed 27 April 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Everybody happy, kids enjoyed the swimming pool, great common areas and excellent private rooms. The village is also as we wished, not invaded by tourists. The details make the difference and here they took care of them!!! We'll come back...for sure!

“The most amazing Chalet”
Reviewed 29 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We had the best week at beautiful Chalet Le 4. The Chalet is absolutely stunning and has everything you might need to create the most amazing family holiday. Can't recommend it enough. Eva and Piet were the best hosts, advising us on anything we asked about and making the whole first family skiing holiday all that we were hoping for. We will be back and would love to try a summer holiday there too.

“Perfect, family friendly yet peaceful winter haven!”
Reviewed 13 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

The whole chalet is spacious, stylish and highly specced. Our apartment's kitchen is well equipped bathrooms are a very high standard and beds are ridiculously comfortable! The blend of up-cycled parts of the old building with top end modern designs and features throughout the chalet is lovely and very deftly executed. The kids loved the pool (as did we), the large kit lockers are perfect and we also got to make good use of the stunning communal lounge and dining room as well as the brilliant kids playroom.

The beautiful - out of town - location, tucked up towards the top of the valley was well serviced by the free bus service and meant we could go sledging right by the front door with the great sledges that Piet and Eva leave outside. A perfect holiday!
