I agree, you have to look for this restaurant. Having eaten here last year I thought it had closed when I couldn't find it, but thankfully I found the sings and four of us visited for a great meal. I just love the steaks here, served with Peppercorn sauce. We all enjoyed our meals, the ambience of the restaurant and the service.

“A fine meal”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

To find this restaurant you need to go in to the old town and search you will find signs directing you there . we choose a table out side as décor was wonderful . service was very quick we ordered drinks and choose our meal. For starters I had onion soup and the wife had baked feta in a tomato sauce both were wonderful served with ciabatta rolls. For mains we both had moussaka it was excellent and different to others I have eaten. we were then given fruit with greek yoghurt and honey {very nice] on the house. with drinks 32 euros.

“Great way to see new year in”
Reviewed 22 January 2014

A party of 8,ate here new years eve on arrival the owner told us he would choose mezes for us. We were not disappointed had around 12 dishes and slow cooked pork, potatoes from oven and baked potato from fire.
What I loved was that every meze dish was different to what we had tried anywhere else, nice balance of meat and vegetarian dishes.

Owner had bought our party a traditional new year cake, plus fruit, bougatza and raki

Lovely to share new year with locals and at midnight we all celebrated together.

Will be returning very soon

“Authentic Cretan food with great Cretan hospitality”
Reviewed 10 December 2013 via mobile

We went there late November, when almost all tourist staff are closed. We found the restaurant through the beautiful narrow alleyways in old town Malia. The restaurant is delicately cozy and beautiful. The owner told us he didn't have a menu today, coz is not the season. Since we are the only customers (normal for November, when most restaurants r not even open), he took us in the kitchen and showed us the dishes that he had for the day. We had no idea what to order as we are not familiar with Greek did at all. The owner then severed us a sampler of 8 dishes and raki. Very comfortable and happy meal:)
