We stayed for six nights at The Secret Garden Relais in Piano di Sorrento. We got one of the pink rooms for our first night and we got a purple one on the floor below for the rest of our stay. Though we have a few negative things to say, we are predominantly positive about this B&B. We feel very satisfied with the services of this accommodation.

Positive aspects:
- The B&B is located in a very cosy and calm area with small alleys and lovely citrus smelling trees. The building and garden are beautiful! The garden is a bit unmaintained but that gives a genuine and rustic feel to it.

- The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious. We didn't lack anything in terms of facilities and we had room service once a day. A bonus is the view from the large, beautiful windows. Mountains, charming houses, orange and lemon trees, lush gardens with hens cackling and birds chirping.

- The breakfast table is generous and offers pastry (small pies, chocolate croissants, cake), bread and various spreads, eggs, cornflakes, muesli, yoghurt, juice, coffee, fruit. Many items of this breakfast were quite sugary, but we liked not having to run out to find breakfast on our own (wasting time that could be spent exploring the area).

- There is a computer in the reception room on which you can use the Internet for free, which is great!

- The tiles and interior of both bathrooms were charming. The bathrooms were nice and clean.

- The staff is very friendly and helpful!

Negative aspects:
- The first room was close to the reception, in which the staff spoke quite loudly at times. For that reason we didn't mind changing rooms as the second room was a lot more quiet and felt more private.

- The only thing that was not clean was the shower curtain in the first room. It had dark spots.

- On the Secret Garden Relais website it says: "For all reservation of 5 nights in medium and high season, you will be given a free set of organic products as well as a bottle of Limoncello from Sorrento, organic jam made with fruit from the Sorrentine Peninsula." We had to ask for this ourselves upon leaving and only got the limoncello for free.

Final rating:

- All in all, we are very satisfied with our stay. The Secret Garden Relais was a great starting point from which we could explore Campania and it exceeded our expectations of a three star B&B. We would definitely stay here again and we would recommend The Secret Garden Relais to others.

Beautiful style of the house, impressing stairs and ceiling. Nice view over the hills, interesting garden. The best possible friendly service. We got help with everything. Sometimes things for breakfast was missing, but it was only to ask for it. It's a quiet place and local, not so many tourists, but close to everything interesting in the area. Better to take the train or bus rather than the car to most places. Check out the harbour in Piano di Sorrento, there is a tiny restaurant down there serving excellent local food. There is also a restaurant around the corner with magnificent pizza and friendly service. The beach in Meta is recomended instead of the ones in Sorrento.

Stayed for 4 nights in this very unique and very nice bed & breakfast. Easy to find from the circumvesuviana train station in Piano (signs point the way immediately leaving the train station) and very convenient to all the sights along the Amalfi Coast. All the rooms are very good sized and very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone.

We've just spent an unforgettable time in Italy. And one of the experiences that contributed the most, was our stay at The Secret Garden Relaise.
From the moment you step at the door, and get a look of the place, it is worth the election. The property is fantastic!
Then, you meet Elina, the girl in charge, who is the soul of the Secret Garden. With a warm and sparkling italian personality, she just completely understands what a personalized attention is.
We were lucky enough to get the apartment on the upper floor. And its facilities, gave us the chance to feel local, and visited (several times) the supermarkets and grocery stores; preparing and enjoying memorable dinners, with the view of Piano.
We have recommended the place to all of our friends. And we would love to go back someday...
This trip had a very special meaning to us, and we want to thank Elina and her Secret Garden, for exceeding our expectations.

Great building in between the lemontrees. Nice local town, near to the touristic Sorrento which is only 5 minutes by train. Not too many restaurants in walking distance, but some will do. Pompei, Capri and Positano easy to reach. Perfect, clean room with a view! Staff was great, friendly and helpful. No water in the small swimmingpool, but it was May. No airco though, which can be a problem in July.
