I just have to agree with everything written previously by trip advisor members. this truly is the most amazing hotel. Location, rooms, food, service and facilities are all first class.
Just a word of caution if you are not really mobile - there are a lot of steps to negotiate if you wish to access all areas of the pool and beautiful grounds of this hotel. We saw two couples having real difficulties in getting around. Reception staff helped as much as possible by arranging transport for them to the far end of the pool where walking was easier but were unable to do anything about the other areas of the grounds. Both couples said they would not have booked at the Nastro Azzurro if steps had been mentioned in the Thomson's brochure.
However if you are mobile you must go to this hotel as it truly is amazing!

Room Tip: Room 134 is very modern, has wonderful views and a huge balcony.

I had a brilliant holiday, the food was excellent the pizza around the pool were lovely ,the breakfast was also lovely especially the omlettes that were cooked for you.
The evening entertainment was fantastic, we had a barbecue around the pool a gala evening and a sweetheart ball.
Are room was lovely with a four poster bed near the pool, pool area really nice.
The staff were polite friendly nothing was to much trouble, big thanks to Naomi she was lovely also Tittiana (she does a brilliant massage) and aqua areobics around the pool most days. There are load of things to do every day from italian lesson to making pasta/pizza. Loved every minute met some wonderful people from Chester, Bolton,Ipswitch, Southampton and Glasgow (The Groovy gang) you know who you are. The Sunset bar had lovely views - you could sit there with a lovely cocktail and chat.
What more can I say i wish i was still there.

I don't think I've ever been so envious of the new arrivals as I was last Friday waiting for our coach to take us back to Naples airport. This hotel is well deserved of the fantastic reviews it's been receiving lately.

The hotel is well situated with gorgeous views of the mountains and the sea. We had room 522 and were a little disappointed to be told it was 'down stairs' (we always ask for a high floor) but we had a room below the terrace in the main block - with a huge terrace of our own and the fantastc views you get from the terrace we obviously got from our room - breathtaking....
The bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch as was the turn down service in the evenings. Our room had been refurbished but the bathroom needed a bit of TLC.
The food was probably, no definately the best we've ever had from an All Inclusive hotel as were the drinks.

The service was second to none - everyone was friendly and even though there were 3 of us (we'd booked it before the 'Couples' brand change) everyone made us feel really welcome.

We booked our tours online the week before we left, went to Capri, Cruised the Amalfi Coast (nice trip but not quite the 'relaxed' atmosphere Thomsons describe - the boat was full to bursting, we were crammed in like sardines and the 'sunbeds' are actually deck chairs - and you have to be quick to get one too!). Also visited Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii and we did the walk-about tour of Sorrento.
Everything was just perfect, and we have left a few places to visit just so it gives us an excuse to go again! Not that I think we need one.....!

I think we'll be hard pressed to find anything better. I loved the waiter service at dinner and all the menu choices and we always had breakfast in the 'Garden Terrace' - it was next to our room and it never got too busy...

If you have already booked, you'll love it, if you are thinking of booking DO IT, you won't be disappointed...

We stayed at the main block between 12th Aug to 26th Aug, and the staff and hotel were exemplary !

There is not much more i can add to the previous reviews, but this hotel is well worth the visit.

We stayed in room No 236, looking out onto the front of the hotel, the views are stunning

Just returned from an idyllic two weeks at the "Nastro Azzurro". We wondered before we went if it could possibly be as good as the reviews on tripadvisor, it was. On arrival (at 9.30 pm) we went to check in and we were told to go through to the dining room for dinner, I said what about the suitcases? My wife nudged me and said they had already been taken to the room. Good start I thought. The welcome meeting next day was informative and the walk around Sorrento with Alessandro was excellent, nobody told us the Italians had such a sense of humour. The room we had was wonderful, obviously newly decorated, balcony which looked out to the gardens, loads of space for all our stuff and a huge bed.
The food........where do you start, breakfast I guess. There was a wide variety of cold meats, cheeses, hot food (bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms etc) and if you wanted a fried egg or an omelette it was cooked freshly for you. Somebody else has said you couldn't get fried eggs or omelettes.....He lied !!! Also fresh fruit, croissants, cake etc. Lunch also had plenty to choose from and the pizzas were wonderful. Dinner........four courses every night. You serve yourself from a very large selection of starters, then the waiters serve you the next two courses at you table, then help yourself to the large selection of desserts. By the way, ask for wine and it comes by the bottle.
It really was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. The entertainment was very good and Chris in particular was superb. It's so good to to hear a real musician, playing real music instead of the karaoke style stuff you often get in hotels. I hope they realise they have a great talent in Chris and use him appropriately. My only fear is that now it is exclusive to Thomsons, it will be spoiled by "corporate" entertainment. Naomi seemed to be obsessed with getting people up dancing at every opportunity. There is a time and a place for this, eg "Disco night".....We shall see next year!!
The shuttle bus is a boon for getting to and from Sorrento and we had no problems with it, even though we had to get either an earlier or later bus a couple of times. We also did our own trips, (Capri, Pompei,Blue cruise) and the open top bus trip, which was excellent and only 12 euros each.
My only criticism and it is a small one is this. When you go to Italy, you expect great coffee, so why did we have to put up with the awful stuff out of instant machines?
This really is a fantastic hotel, we have travelled extensively and have yet to find anything better at this price. Lets hope it will still be as good when we come back next year and Thomsons haven't put their corporate stamp all over it.

We have just returned from Nastro Azzurro and what a fab time we had. We can't recommend this hotel enough. The staff work so hard to make your holiday extra special. Nothing is too much trouble and they meet your every need without hesitation. The food is excellent the Head Chef and his staff present a variety of fine foods and will happily provide any other requirements if requested. The veiws are stunning, especially from the pool and on the sun set terrace. The hotel is about 15 mins up hill from Sorrento and is located in a quiet rural setting, adding to the peace and tranquility. There is a free courtesy bus running to and from Sorrento from 08:00 until 11.30pm. The hotel has recently become an exclusive Thompson Couples hotel and they are in the process of upgrading the rooms to a gloss white contemporary appearance. The main reception area is still of a traditional Italian design, however it still has the WOW factor when you arrive. The quality of the service, food and attention from the staff is more than equal to that of a Sandals holiday. We look forward to returning and would like to thank the staff for a superb holiday!

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, all staff made us feel special. The whole holiday was excellent from start to finish. The hotel has fantastic views and is very peaceful!
We went with friends and met some lovely people. The hotel is as relaxing as you want, there are activities if you feel like it, however no pressure from rep. Thank you to Naomi, Angelo, Ginero, Antonio and all staff who helped make our holiday so wonderful. We will definately return!
