The hospitality here was the friendly I have ever seen. They took time to explain the menu in English and help us select a meal we could share and enjoy.
The hospitality didn't stop at the door though. Every time we would walk past they stopped to ask us how we were.
The food was good and we got to sample a little of everything.

This restaurant was just 6 doors down from our accommodation in a beautiful cobblestone street. We asked to sample a variety of their food and were given a specialised menu so we could taste everything on the menu. The sloping tables on the sloping street added to the authenticity of eating in an Italian neighbourhood. Friendly service with nothing too much trouble....echt gezellig.....the food was authentic Italian which was what we were looking for and tasted amazing....loved the polenta. Looking forward to a cooking class with Nonna

We were invited to dine here by the very nice young man in charge, the pasta lived up to his promise, we shared the bruschetta and I had lasagne, husband had the fish ravioli, the pasta itself was so lovely and soft and obviously home made. We had a jug of house wine and were given a complimentary lemoncello to finish, we were delighted with the meal and rated it the best we have had in our weeks stay in the region. We had a table outside and found the view of the street part of the charm. Highly recommended,

This cosy restaurant hugs the side of a quiet, narrow alleyway that climbs steeply from the main road near the ferry terminal. We came for lunch; we took one of just four small outdoor tables placed under a canopy of window boxes that were overflowing with geraniums. The four of us all enjoyed the dishes that we selected: Greek salad, carpaccio salad, bruschetta, and tagliatelle with minced deer meat. Our server was especially friendly and we found the prices to be reasonable. This relaxing setting also offered us welcome respite from the crowds that invade Luino on market day.
