“Wonderful time at Le Case”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2013

We stayed 4 nights at Le Case - we had a lovely room in a separate building to the hotel - was spacious and comfortable with a big bathroom. Beautiful buildings and courtyard with two restaurants on site - food was fantastic! We loved the Enoteca - service and food and wine were all amazing!

the "agriturismo" is half way between a charme hotel and a farm guest-house. I believe it reflects well the spirit of the surrounding environment. The food is very good, both at the in-house winery than at breakfast. Very romantic if you're traveling with your beloved one

The Hotel is simple and OK. The "spa" is not a spa, just an indoor swimming pool. The water was cool and the hot tub not hot. Plus it made the whole hotel feel like we were in the swimming pool room. Maybe it was the chlorine.

We also had dinner at their "Michelin 5 Star restaurant" which was a disappointment. Perhaps we could have ordered better; later someone said the fish menu is the best.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view.

This was a really great place, with excellent service, which we located via TripAdvisor (it wasn't in our guide book). It has all the facilities of a modern hotel. We had a lovely upstairs room in an outhouse near the main building, with windows on all sides. It was well furnished -- the only quibble was that the beds were quite hard for our taste, but that was similar to other hotels in Le Marche. The indoor swimming pool was good, though crowded in the afternoon as it's shared with the locals. Dinner in the restaurant (we chose the basic one, not the Michelin starred one) was first-rate, and the breakfast was one of the best we've had in ages. Front desk staff were very helpful. Highly recommended.

I am almost discouraged to write my review of this agritorismo, as I want to keep it a secret! I have never found an agritorismo with staff so kind, rooms so clean and food so delicious. The staff is so welcoming, so attentive, and extremely helpful on every request. The rooms we simple but had every amenity one would need and were very clean. There was a beautiful indoor pool with a jacuzzi and a sauna. The breakfast was an array of rustic dishes that were both sweet and salty, satisfying every type of morning palate. The landscape around agritorismo was breathtaking and it was not a far drive from the beautiful city of Macerata. This is the perfect accommodation for a family, a couple or a group of friends.
The enoteca was a gastronomical experience that I consider myself lucky to have had. The octopus was the best I have ever eaten in my life, and I have eaten many octopi. The service in the enoteca was impeccable (something not common in Italy) and the ambient was cozy, rustic, and private. Every dish we had you could taste the freshness from the sweet vegetables, it was as if he infused spring into our dishes. We had a dinner and Easter lunch and they were both two of the best meals I have ever indulged in. I do not eat meat and instead of getting the same dishes as everyone else just without meat, he made a special menu just for me! He incorporated flowers in many of the dishes and used all local products. He also took the time to explain how he prepared a few of our favorite dishes and offered to take us the following morning for a walk in the garden.
I cannot thank the staff and Chef Michele Biaggiola enough for such a wonderful experience and stay. I am already looking forward to my next stay with them and would love to make Easter with them an annual stay!
Thank you for the great weekend!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property outside of Macerata. It's a hotel, several restaurants (including Michelin-starred Enoteca) and a working farm.

The buildings are old but comfortable. Our room was spacious, with a double (queen?) bed in the main part of the room, and a single bed (not a cot) for our daughter in the entry area to the room. The linens were luxurious. The bathroom was sizeable, but plenty of room for toiletries, and the shower was also a good size. Our room was on the ground floor, and quiet. The only down-side to the room was that it didn't really have a view from the window - it overlooked the roof of the swimming pool.

There was a sitting area in the building, which we didn't use, as the weather was nice enough that each evening, we could take a bottle of wine that we'd bought in Macerata, and sit outside to have drinks. It was a gorgeous and peaceful place to do that. And the hotel/farm cat, an outdoor cat only, kept us company!

The breakfast was plentiful, and made with many farm products. The breakfast room, like in many facilities, was in the basement - maybe in warmer weather people can also breakfast outside.

The staff was pleasant and helpful.

There is a lovely pool on the basement level of the hotel that houses the hotel (the two restaurants are in separate buildings). It's indoor, but has large windows overlooking the countryside. The pool was used heavily each evening, however (and possibly during the day, but we were always out and about during the day) by swimming lessons. We were still able to swim if we wanted, but amongst the kids taking lessons.

While the facility is also a farm, and you could go see the animals, they were all kept out of view of hotel and restaurant guests. Near the front of the property, near some picnic tables, are some ruins - maybe Roman?

While we went into the nearby town of Macerata several times, it didn't feel like a particularly friendly city to stay overnight in, or to deal with parking in. So even though we usually prefer to stay within a town or city, we were very glad we made the decision in this location to stay at Le Case.

We stayed three nights at Le Case which is near Macerata in the
southern part of the region of Le Marche in Italy. The hotel is part of a
complex installed in 15th century farm houses and includes two gourmet
restaurants and an indoor pool and spa. The ambience is established as you
drive down a long cobblestone drive lined with cypress trees. The hotel
is decorated as an 18th century mansion with antiques and lovely
paintings. We were in a standard double room which had plenty of space and a
reasonable sized bathroom with shower only.

The room looked out over the terrace that roofs the pool and beyond to
a valley of farms. Breakfast is included and is served in a pretty room
below the lobby, next to the spa area. The breakfast goes beyond the
usual Italian coffee and roll to incude home made breads and cakes, honey
and jams made from locally grown fruits, fresh fruits, cheese and
meats. We loved the fig tart and lemon tart.

We did not take advantage of the pool but it is beautiful, with a wall
of windows looking out on the green fields. A small exercise room and
massage therapists are also available.

Our only complaints were some shoddy maintenance on the terrace and
water damage in a corner of our room. This could have been because it was
early in the season. There was no one at the front desk between ten
p.m. or so and ten a.m. When they were there, the personnel were helpful.

The other guests were a mix of families and business people.
It is a very peaceful atmosphere and the restaurants are truly
outstanding. I would call them destination restaurants, the kind you would
drive out of your way to eat at.

The hotel is conveniently located for exploring many neighboring hill
towns or the beach, since it is near enough to the Adriatic Sea for a
day trip.

Prices here are 125 to 150 euros for a double. Higher than most
agriturisms, but definitely worth it for the lovely surroundings.
