“Sicilian dinner in Modica”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014 via mobile

Second visit to the restaurant following the good experience last year. Service was fast and efficient(we were a big group). Have to say that the first course was excellent, be it pasta or soup with small meatballs. My main course pancetta al forno was good but a couple had the "meats" and it was nothing to write home about. Avoid the red home wine. Summer please book, especially week end.

“Touristic, but ok.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014 via mobile

This restaurant offers typical dishes from the Sicilian inland and it appears obvious that it has adapted to tourists. The quality of the food was good, but probably better suited to cold or warm weather. It is worthwhile going if in the area.

“Really original food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

A surprisingly original menu for what looked suspiciously like a tourist trap, with lots of local dishes that we hadn't seen anywhere else in Sicily. The multi lingual glossy menu, complete with pictures, was slightly tacky but actually quite helpful, and we ended up with two very nice, and pretty large, pasta dishes - one with spinach and broccoli, one with pork. We ended with a very nice canetta, all washed down with 500ml of the local red. Great value too, around €25 for the lot, and very nice outdoor seating. Recommended!

“the second best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

We had 2 meals at this local restaurant on the main street of Modica.Sicily. The products of this area are tomatoes, eggplant and the best olive I have ever had.
The tomato salad was fabulous as was the eggplant dish.

“Seasonal dish in May”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014 via mobile

I ordered the seasonal dish pasta with tenerezze (zucchini flowers) and the orange salad. It was very good. They gave me a copy of their menu book that shows pictures of the menu items!
