This palazzo is exactly what we sought in Modica. It is very conveniently located right on Modica's main street, its rooms are charming and have an authentic old world aura, and its rates provide a very good value. It is run by a kind family and their current and vintage portraits decorate the beautiful breakfast room walls. Breakfast is included and I would rate it an 8 out of 10. Sweet rolls, fresh fruit, breads, juices and coffee are fresh and good. Rooms are interesting, beds are comfortable. Hot water in the shower is ample. Our room had a little fridge which was thoughtfully stocked with complimentary juices and water. This is a fine palace and well taken care of.

If your ideal vacation in Modica involves strolling through town, seeing the sights and then easily returning to a picturesque comfortable palazzo, then you have found the right place.

I have 2 negative comments. The first one is not unique to here; it is common in most B&Bs since there is typically no 'front desk'. No one is readily available to ask directions or recommendations. The owners are visible and friendly throughout breakfast but at other times, no one was around and their office door was shut. The second is that checkout time is 10:30, whereas most places give you until 11 or 12.

Located in an atmospheric historical palace in Modicas center, run by a hospitable, friendly family. Everybody was very welcoming and helpful. The room was cozy, well furnished and had a spacious, bright bathroom with shower cabin and bidet. Everything was very clean and in good working order. Breakfast was tasty and ample and was being served in a beautiful grand reception room with a painted and stuccoed ceiling. The family's daughter Sara speaks English well. Her recommendations on sites and restaurants enhanced our stay not only in town, but moreover in this area of Sicily. The location is very central on Modica's main street, but our room had its window towards the inner courtyard and we did not hear any street noise. Free WLAN only in the public areas, not in the rooms, but that was negligible.
Lovely place which sets you in the right mood for this nice town.

A beautiful old house and charming aristocratic hosts. Lovely room and bathroom, super breakfast with lots of choice. Parking outside can be tricky. Excellent location for visiting the old town on foot.

Faultless. Fantastic building, location, rooms, staff and a good breakfast with some local touches.

Family run B and B; they clearly care a great deal about the place and guests

Monica is an excellent stop over for a night or two, had a much more 'real' feel than a lot of the surrounding beautiful yet slightly touristy towns

Chocolate here is intense be sure to get some

This was our last night in Sicily, so we chose a nice B&B - it is stunning, at a good location in town not too far from the bus station. The family are extremely helpful and friendly. There are superb views to the cathedral opposite, and Sara spent some time giving directions to the best viewpoints in town. Our room faced onto an internal courtyard, so there was no noise at night. The shower was a little small, but this was the case everywhere we stayed in Sicily. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. All in all, a great choice for our final night, would love to return.
