Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms and a fantastic pool and lounge/bar.
The restaurant next door offered discount dining for hotel guests and opened for dinner at 8 pm. The service was slow, the ambiance very nice and the food was enjoyable.
The breakfast was a pleasure on the European standard, meats, cheeses, breads but do not compare it to an American breakfast, you will be disappointed. When in Rome or as the case may be When in Alcamo.
We would stay at this hotel again with no problem!

The hotel ist newly renovated in a very stylish way. The rooms are nice in october ther was a special for massage: 1 hour was only 35 Euro. The pool is very nice, there is an extra pool for little kids as well.

Breakfast is very nice.

Don´t take romm number 101, it is under the restaurant so you are sure to hear every chair mooved above you. After one night we moved to room 202 wich was much nicer.

We liked our 14-days stay in La Batia.
A nice, modern, fresh hotel with very nice and adequate personel.
Especially thye ladies who served at breakfast were very kind and adequate, and also the little lady at the reception.
Also very clean: during breakfast was our room cleaned (all days).
Nice pool and Tip: the pillows could be renewed. Nice wine at the end of the afternoon/bginning of the evening.
We liked our room (214) but would heve preferred a couch instead of an extra bed downstairsd:-).
Food: nice restaurant, good price/quality.
Pity there was little possibility at the hotel to eat something during lunchtime.

Great hotel, verf Nice staff, good beds and a Nice place to stay.

Close to THE Bach and other interessant places on THE west site of sicilia. We've been there for à week and had no regrets of choosing this hotel.
I understand other remarks Aboutaleb THE breakfast but thats normal in italy. There was enough choice but do not compare it with regular continental breakfasts.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, very clean and had a balcony overlooking the courtyard. We received free bottles of water every day and our bedroom was always made up before we got back from breakfast.

I do think that other reviewers have been very harsh with regard to the breakfast. There was a nice selection of fruit, yoghurt, pastries, bread and cold meats and cheeses every day. There was also a selection of fruit juices and coffee. The breakfast staff were always polite and friendly and it was a nice experience sitting in the courtyard every morning to eat.

However, the hotel did seem to be underutilised. The pool area was beautiful, but we never actually saw anyone use it. The same applied to the bar area, which was closed, I am presuming due to under use also. Although, when we did ask at reception, the receptionist was more than accommodating in providing us with a bottle of wine – even if it was a tad on the expensive side.

The hotel courtyard gets very noisy on the weekend, due to the restaurant being located here. The rooms are not very sound proof, we were regularly woken by the screaming children next door and above us … although the parents seemed to cause more noise than the children! However, this was obviously not the hotels fault.

The location is remote and you do need a car, but I thought this was fairly obvious from reviews and the hotel website, so why the complaints?! May be people should see this reflected in the price also. A better location will cost you more money.

I think overall, this hotel is excellent value for money. Other holiday makers seemed to expect a lot more for what they actually paid!

Room Tip: E-mail the hotel before you travel to request a room with a balcony that does not overlook the court...

Marvellous rooms, beautiful swimming pools and terraces. We were tree friends and we had no issue to get a 3 bed room. Negative points: very disappointing breakfast, not that much to eat (it seems that Italians don't really have breakfast but just coffee) and might be far away from everything, you NEED a car and must not be afraid of driving in the little streets of Alcamo, neither in the crazy traffic of Palermo and Taormina. I would suggest to stay a couple of nights there and move every 2 nights to another place of the island. That way, you don't loose time to go back and forth to the hotel and you can discover the whole island.

We booked 3 nights at this hotel and were excited to be in a quiet area and just relax by a pool.
The room was large with 2 beds..a single and king..overlooking the courtyard to the entrance of restaurant below. That all seemed good until we realized the AC was really loud but not much air coming out. The room was getting very hot so we opened the windows. Nice breeze came in but so did the smoke from all the smokers below that go to the restaurant or work there. Plus the pots pans singing whistling..made it hard to sleep until after 3. We closed the windows but the AC really was not working so once all the people were gone..we finally thought we would get peace. NOPE..the barking dogs (common in Sicily..why I will never know) kept us up. So we closed the windows and put on AC that sounded like a transport truck..got 3 hours sleep and woke up to 90 degree room. The sad thing is..this is a new owner and you would think he would know that there is noise from below. They did know about the AC..and said someone was coming to fix it..whatever...we told them we were checking out. They didn't seem to care..showed us one tiny cell like room..which we declined..and we left. Found a hotel called Ponte Nord Est..which is on water clean and really nice staff. It's not amazing but not terrible. A tip for the new owner. Take a half hour and roll some new paint on the walls. They are totally banged up and looks like crap. Sleep in the room..hear what we hear. Why should your guests suffer for you to make money. *** The Restaurant La Batia..that is attached to the hotel is excellent! It is not run by the hotel.

Room Tip: Do not book room 208..or make sure AC is working and be prepared for night time noise from the court...
