We stumbled upon this restaurant two nights ago (a group of two families both with young children) and we fell in love instantly. The ambiance is charming and authentic and the views are fantastic. This restaurant embodies Tuscany and every reason we decided to visit Tuscany. Anna Maria and her husband were beyond delightful and welcoming, they reminded us of a loving grandparents who instantly felt like family. The food was the most authentic that we have experienced yet -- and we've been all over Italy for the past five weeks. The highlights for food was the marinara sauce on the spaghetti (extremely fresh), bistecca (a Florentine steak that's a must-have!) and sage butter ravioli. We loved the chocolate tort and tiramasu for dessert. We even came back a second night in a row for dinner because the incredible food paired with the authentic Tuscan atmosphere made for a perfect evening.
We are from California, and although we hardly speak any Italian the people there were patient and accommodating with us! Food and family was our common language.
