“Wonderful stay in a lovely setting”

I have traveled extensively and stayed in many apartments, but I have never been in an apartment so beautifully set up and well stocked. Everything you needed for a comfortable stress free stay was there. And everything from the booking to the arrival was simple; John and Tracy and friendly and helpful. They have a well detailed binder full of great suggestions of places of interest nearby. The apartment is perfect for a couple - may be a bit small for more. The views of the town of Gaiole from the lovely pergola were just lovely. And it is wonderfully located just a short walk into town; perfect for a cappuccino in the morning, or afternoon. Short drives get you to wineries in every direction - Gaiole is truly in the centre of the Chianti region, so nothing is far away from this home base. And after a long day touring about, it was great to come home to a gorgeous, impeccably clean kitchen that is well stocked and a delight to cook in; for a light meal and of course, one or two final classes of Chianti Classico!

If you're looking for a base to explore the area or somewhere to go and hide for a few weeks, this is the perfect choice for either. The apartment has everything you might think you need. John and Tracy have gone out of their way to give you excellent advice and recommendations, which were really valuable. It is in the most beautiful setting and really shows Tuscany for what it is - just lovely!
On a practical note, I would commend you take some insect repellant if you visit in summer.

“Wonderful, relaxing break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We had a lovely stay in Gaoile. The apartment was beautifully appointed, with everything you would need, plus the little extras like books, CD's and slippers! The garden was in full bloom and we enjoyed spending our afternoons sitting in the garden and taking in the sites. It was a wonderful break.

“Perfect apartment in a beautiful location”

From the booking process onwards this was a fantastic experience. John and Tracy have created the perfect apartment; with luxury linens, fittings and quality throughout, as well as being equipped with everything you could possibly require and more, with stunning views across the valley and down to the picturesque village of Gaiole in Chianti which is only a short walk away. The village is peaceful but with everything you could need (bars, restaurants, post office, bank, tourist information etc) and the people could not be more welcoming.

The Borgo apartment is beautifully designed and presented, perfect both as a base for exploring Tuscany and for enjoying the al fresco lifestyle in the relaxing garden.

The hosts have clearly spent many an hour tirelessly researching and recommending the best restaurants that the area has to offer, with some hidden gems to suit every budget.

With the towns of Pisa, Siena and Florence within easy reach by car or train - and beautiful villages like Radda and Vertine nearby - this is a perfect location from which to experience unspoilt Tuscany.
