“Outstanding apartment overlooking the beautiful Chianti landscape”
Reviewed 29 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed at Tracey and John's Gaiole apartment for five nights in September 2015.
As soon as we arrived we knew we were somewhere special.
The view is sensational! We enjoyed barbecuing at home most nights just to relax and look out over Gaiole and the beautiful countryside.
We also enjoyed walking to nearby wineries, restaurants and communes and driving through the Tuscan countryside. Swims in the pool were a daily spoil.
Tracey and John are very generous in providing all the facilities needed to enjoy a great "home away from home".
This apartment is a highlight of our Europe holiday!

“Highly Recommended”
Reviewed 30 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We spent a week staying at this apartment in Gaiole and would highly recommend it. The booking process was very easy and the English owners, John and Tracy, were most responsive and helpful. The apartment is conveniently located a few minutes walk from the town centre in an attractive modern development built in traditional style. It is comfortably furnished and is exceptionally well-equipped - we particularly appreciated the free high speed wifi and the wide range of guide books, maps and other visitor information. We also made good use of the charming private garden for barbecues and al fresco dining. Guests have free use of shared facilities including a good-sized pool and a small fitness room.

Gaiole itself is a friendly little town, not as picturesque as some of the hill towns in the area but also not as overrun by tourists which for us was a major bonus. It has good local shops to cater for most everyday needs and a reasonable choice of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Overall we felt it made an ideal base for exploring locally and for longer trips to Siena, Florence, Pisa etc. We particularly enjoyed visiting the local castelli (wine tasting) and a day trip to Montepulciano. We would be very happy to return, especially if we were staying in this apartment again.

“Perfect Home away from Home”
Reviewed 21 January 2015 for a stay in October 2014

Our stay in this beautiful apartment couldn't have been better. The owners are true hosts, we couldn't have asked for more.
The apartment is in a beautiful position at the top of a hill, you can see the top of Gaiole from the patio. We loved the garden, even in the rain we sat out and enjoyed the siesta.
The apartment is ideally placed for exploration, with great care and attention taken by the owners to ensure you have directions and reviews of the best local and tuscanwide restaurants and wineries.
This trip was for my boyfriends 30th, it was easily the most relaxed holiday we had, we spent our mornings adventuring, had nice lunches out then returned to the apartment for a siesta to enjoy our purchases from morning outings. if we fancied it we strolled down into the village for dinner or drinks.
Perfect - Thank you so much

Liked best: The homely atmosphere was so relaxing
Liked least: The walk up the hill back from the village, although it did burn the calories from the beautiful food and wine we consumed.

“This lovely garden apartment was ideal for our Tuscan holiday!”

The experience could not have been better. The apartment is nearly new and was immaculate and well-maintained, the decor is welcoming, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed, the garden is huge and beautifully landscaped, and the owners were very responsive. The weather was still mild and we enjoyed our meals "al fresco" . Equally important to us was the location - just a short walk down the hill to the center of town so that we did not have to jump in the car every time we wanted to eat out or shop. I would definitely stay here again!

“Homely apartment, great garden and views....loved it!”
Reviewed 29 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Fab apartment - Beautiful garden, deck and views
Restaurants in easy walking distance
Well equipped kitchen
Owners sent a really useful information pack and were very helpful
Using the laundry and gym (no extra charges for either) was easy once we found them - down one level at the lift using key fob
Pool is great for swimming lengths, but a little chilly even in August!

“Fantastic apartment from which to explore Chianti by relax and relax by night”

We have stayed in other apartments in Borgo Gaiole regularly for the past few years however the accommodation had always been fairly basic, meaning we spent as much time out and about as possible. This time we did our research and having read the reviews on this particular apartment booked immediately. We have not been disappointed! The quality of the inside and outside areas shine through and make for an extremely relaxing environment, be it on an evening after a day exploring Chianti or just to spend a peaceful day unwinding under the pergola with a good book. This was more like spending time as a guest in someone's home, with the high quality linens and towels, and well equipped kitchen and living areas, rather than some of the rather more cold self-catering accommodation we have experienced previously. The guest information that John and Tracy provided enabled us to discover some fantastic local restaurants that we had never come across before. Highly recommended!

“Tuscan Gem!”
Reviewed 18 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We arrived at the apartment and fell in love! The apartment is perfect for a couple looking to escape the rat race and relax. The owners have equipped the apartment to a very high standard and have thought of everything including a picnic box! We enjoyed lazying around the pool reading but I actually spent a lot of time in the stunning garden. Dealing with the owners was very easy. They responded to emails promptly (even though I bombarded them!) and made us feel very welcome in their home. They provided us with lots of information about what we could do in Gaiole and the surrounding area, which was extremely helpful.

Gaiole itself has something for everyone. We enjoyed going into town at lunch time for a drink.

If you are looking for beautiful scenery, pure relaxation and owners who genuinely want you to enjoy their home, this is the place to go. Highly
