In a warm and hospitable place everyone can tickle the palate with genuine dishes and the true flavour of home- cooked meals, or taste an ice -cream in the main square, which was once a major marketplace between Siena an Florence Master bakers for forty years, we have the pleasure to offer our customers indulge pastries and cakes and also a delicious thin and crispy pizza both for lunch and dinner. All this served with an inevitable glass of red wine.

“local restaurant in Gaiole Chianti Italy”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

We stayed in Gaiole for a week and visited this restaurant 3 times.Excellent location in the town square a perfect plce to relax with wine and watch the world go by.We enjoyed the food, an excellent steak (cooked just as I asked !), good pizza and pasta and wild boar which was very tasty.A limited menu but all well prepared and reasonably priced and the pastries and desserts were especially good.Staff were excellent !! Well worth a visit.

“Great pizza”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

We stopped here while touring the area. A cute little restaurant located in the town square. As it was a bit cool, we opted for an inside table. We each got pizza - very nice portions and delicious. We also enjoyed a glass of the house wine. The staff was very efficient. I would suggest this restaurant if you are looking for a quick, but good lunch.

“Favourite local”
Reviewed 27 May 2014 via mobile

This was our 'local' whilst in gaolie. Lovely inexpensive well cooked food, perfect for a cheap lunch. We visited 3 times, each time good food. Try the black dough (yes black coloured base) pizza aicha with potato and sauage toppings. Sounds strange but fantastic.

“Simply fantastic!”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

This restaurant was a real highlight of our week-end in Chianti. This place had delicious, traditional, fresh food and friendly service at very inexpensive prices. It is a small family run business and they are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your meal. We had dinner outdoor and truly enjoyed the pasta dishes and the "tagliata" steak; we had of course Chianti Classico red wine to go with the meal. Definitly will go back again.

“Fabulous casual dining experience”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

My partner and I ate in this restaurant last week and were totally blow away by the experience. Firstly the service was professional, fantastically friendly and most importantly kind! The staff were knowledgeable and obviously passionate about what they do. Then the food, all dishes were well structured, balanced with a real burst of natural flavour. The food was obviously prepared by a very talented person and someone that has a love for regional ingredients.
I cannot recommend this place enough, food, staff and ambience. This isn’t for people looking for formal dining but for people that love 'real Tuscan' food. Highly Recommend !
