This restaurant serves semi-international meals - salads, ciabatta sandwiches, burgers, soups etc. None of it bad, none of it very good. The four of us had chicken salad, burger, and soup. All rather expensive - 99 NOK for a bowl og lentil soup, 199 for a burger, 169 for salad. The latter consisted of chicken, lettuce, bacon and a few tomatoes thrown haphazardly into a bowl. No bread to go with it and nobody asked if we wanted any. The burger was just that, a burger with a nondescript dressing and some fries. Why pay 199 NOK for this?
No cutlery - we had to ask for it. We found napkins and salt/pepper ourselves, easier than waiting for the stressed-out waiters. Noone had thought to remove the dishes from the prevíous guests, we did that too. Actually, we also removed our own dishes after we finished eating, there were so many wasps.
The coffee, which took them ten minutes to bring, was depressing.
The staff were running around like confused hens. Perhaps a bad day. Perhaps the norm. Perhaps they are understaffed. I don't care which, it isn't good enough.
Voss is a tourist town. "Tre brør" live off tourists and most of them never come back. Neither will we.
