We stayed at Park Hotel for just a night in September 2018. I booked the hotel through a hotel booking site online as it doesn’t seem to be possible to book a room online on the hotel website which is a bit weird. When we arrived, check in was fast and we got room 308.
The room was very standard with wooden floor, light walls and two beds put together. There was a desk with a chair and this also contained the small TV – the placement of the TV was not good at all if you wanted to watch TV while in bed. There was also an empty small fridge. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable, the room had a balcony with a lovely view and the internet was free and worked fine. The bathroom was tiny and as usual there were hardly any places to hang/put stuff. There was a bathtub which contained a shower option with a shower curtain. It is not my preferred shower setup! There were basically no amenities apart from a strong-smelling soap from a dispenser that was supposed to be used both for the shower and for washing the hands.
Breakfast in the morning was included and was pretty much what you expect from a hotel breakfast in Norway: some bread, cereal, fruit, egg and bacon, various spread to have on the bread. Breakfast in the morning was included and was pretty much what you expect from a hotel breakfast in Norway: some bread, cereal, fruit, egg and bacon, various spread to have on the bread. All in all, Park Hotel is not a bad hotel. But the room looked tired and especially the bathroom needs an upgrade. Location of the hotel is great – it is in the middle of town and you can walk to restaurants, shops and cafes. My main issue with the hotel is the price. This tiny room was 1850 kroner (225 USD) and in my opinion, it is overpriced. But then again, there are not that many options in Voss.More
