We stayed in Sa Carrotja for 3 nights in July and wish we could have stayed longer. The quality of the house and accommodation was superb. The owner could not have been more helpful and was always on hand to help but not in an intrusive way. I would recommend eating at night in the finca and we loved the honesty sheet as you could help yourself to drinks etc and list the items on your personal page. A wonderful experience and we will be back.

Room Tip: I would stay in any room.

Stayed last week at Sa Carrotja. Enjoyed every single day. The pefect choice if you want to spent quiet (it's only for adults) holidays without being totally out of civilisation, as it is just a 10 minutes walk to Ses Salines. The room and the terrace was lovely, the breakfast very yummie with good choices, the pool area nice and quiet and the staff friendly and kind. At the first evening we had also dinner there - was also yummie and with 25 Euro for a 3-course-meal fair priced. On other two nights we ate at the new opened Tapas Restaurant Ein-Stein in Ses Salines. We can suggest that also! Most of the other guests were Germans (like us), but not crazy ones:-). I think all the guests were couples and all seemed happy and relaxed. So really highly reccomended!

Recently returned from a week's stay at Sa Carrotja. I would recommend a car if staying here. It was nice to stay in a child free hotel.

It can only be described as delightful - a lovely finca, very clean and lovely staff. Our room had a bedroom and bathroom downstairs and a nice sitting room upstairs. We also had an outdoor terrace.

Breakfasts were plentiful - good selection of cold buffet with a choice of cooked eggs to order. Breakfast was available from 8.30am to midday so you could just sit and relax and not have to hurry - a nice way to start the day.

I won't repeat what the other reviewers have said but it is a charming place. It has a lovely pool area which is very quiet.

They offer a dinner menu - usually on holiday we like to go to local restaurants; however we ate at Sa Carrotja most evenings as the food and drink were reasonably priced and the food was very nice and well cooked.

The only negative were the beds - very, very hard. I do like a firm bed but the mattresses were so hard - I sometimes put the spare blankets on top of the beds and then put the sheet on top to make it a bit softer. However if the beds had been really comfy, I might have missed breakfast every day!:)

So apart from the hard mattress it's a lovely place that I would recommend for those looking for peace and quiet.

We stayed in this delightful finca for a week and will certainly be returning. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, then this is the place for you. Efficiently run by a charming family, our room was traditionally furnished with a lovely bathroom and terrace with table, chairs and umbrella. Pool towels are provided and may be taken out, together with beach umbrellas. There are plenty of guide books in the lounge and bikes, helmets, locks and repair kits are also available to borrow. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and they seem to really enjoy providing their guests with a great experience.

The food is traditional Mallorcan and served to you at dinner, while the delicious breakfasts are buffet-style. Fresh lemons, oranges, plums, figs, apricots etc from the farm are offered at breakfast, together with the traditional meats, breads, tomatoes and cheeses. Oh, of course the farm's hens provide the eggs. For dinner there is a choice of two 3-course set menus each day as well as a la carte options. You simply sign up for your option (or not if you fancy eating out) at breakfast. Tea, coffee, cold drinks etc are available all day on a help yourself basis. You just have to sign the honesty sheet.

The place feels more like someone's home than a hotel. An exceptionally enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 5 days after a wedding near Palma.
We booked a room with leaving area and terrace and everything was very spatious. We loved the fact that the room is completely dark with all wooden "curtains" closed.
The breakfast buffet is great: as much feshly squeezed orange juice as you wish, eggs, different sorts of breads, croissants, fruits, charcuterie, cheeses etc. Great quality.
The Garden is one of the most beautiful I've seen, it's a real little heaven.
Lying by the pool is very quiet and relaxing as there are no children aloud at Sa Carrotja. (I thought it was a bit odd when I booked, but actually I really enjoyed it compared with other stays in similar hotels WITH loud playing children!)
The owner and the staff are very lovely and helpful. I really have no negative comment to make about this stay. Unfortunately, we have not tried the dinner at Sa Carrotja, but I am sure that the food is great.
Ses Salines is a lovely village with a few restaurants, one little supermarket, a pharmacy, tabacco etc.
I would not recommend to go to the Es Trenc beach as it is full of nudists (who walk naked also outside the "nudist zone"!!)

Room Tip: We had the room n°4, with a sitting area, small fridge, a terrace view on the garden and pool.

This place was really magical - coming from an incredibly busy lifestyle in London all my partner and I wanted was peace - and that is what we got here. Set in lovely olive groves, Sa Carrotja is unmistakably rural Majorca - with excellent service and great food to boot.

We stayed for three nights and our every need was catered for - we spent a lot of time heading to some if the amazing calas in the area - cool bags, umbrellas and beach towels were all provided. Nothing was too much trouble.

The room was spavious, cool and neutral - the bed very comfortable and the pool perfect for a late afternoon swim.

All in all service was impeccable and the food excellent - absolutely amazing breakfast with bread cheeses and local hams - vegetables and fruit fresh out of the garden and the most amazing 'pan con tomate' with local goats cheese and peppers - I looked forward to those every morning!

We also had dinner here a number of times - they do a great 3 course set menu but don't be scared to ask chef for something a bit lighter if you prefer- we had the most amazing salad one evening as an alternative. It just great simple food - grilled fish, meat, vegetables and salad - but oh so deliciously fresh!

I can't recommend this place highly enough - a wonderful place for a getaway.

Room Tip: Have dinner there - it is worth it!

This lovely Finca is a hidden gem. It is situated on the outskirts of a delightful small town and near some lovely beaches, Cala Llombards, Cala Sa Nau & Cala Pi. The pool area is perfect for relaxing and the pool water is heated to a very welcoming temperature.
Our room was spacious and had the advantage of an indoor sitting area and a lovely outdoor terrace with a great view. The bathroom was very modern and clean and there were plenty of towels. Our bed was very comfortable and we had a huge closet for hanging clothes. The room was finished with satellite tv. a safe and a large fridge.
The owner and his wife are very hands on and are very approachable and friendly. The rest of the staff is superb, again friendly and very efficient.
The breakfast is fantastic and includes fresh juice made with the fruit from the surrounding trees, local cheeses and meats, great bakery products, home produced honey and jams, cereals, yogurts and a good selection of fresh fruit. A true feast.
On two evenings we enjoyed a three course evening meal which was delicious and very economically priced. We just had to sign up in the morning if you wanted the evening meal. The selection of Mallorcan wines on offer was excellent and again well priced. There was also an honesty bar for any other drinks that you might want during the day.
The area around the finca is very agricultural and quiet and a having a car was very useful. We were very impressed that beach towels and parasols could be taken out for the day and there was a huge amount of tourist info/maps available for borrowing.
The finca has been renovated to a very high standard and all the public areas are beautifully maintained. It offers plenty of shaded areas for the summer but also has lots of lovely indoor rooms for the cooler months.
Definitely a place we would love to return to and one that we would recommend without hesitation.

Room Tip: Having a terrace was great. We could sit and enjoy a glass of wine before dinner surrounded by some...
