“Very rude - go somewhere else...”

I have rarely experienced customer facing staff (or in this case business owners) this rude. Part of this, I assume, is cultural but still.

We were sold a 'cave dive' and in reality swam through a rock formation. Very pretty - but far from a cave.

Overall, a decent dive and experience at best. I'd recommend you to find another dive company.

“Ifyou want to learn to dive in Mallorca then start here..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2013

I purchased a PADI open water course for my wife's birthday.
We both did the course over 4 days and obtained our open water certificatiion at the end.
The course is reasonably challenging (I am 60) as there is a lot of information to read as well as several inshore and open water dives where you carry out various exercises as well as having a fun dive.
You should ideally obtain the PADI manual beforehand and study it because that takes the pressure off the 4 days and you could possibly do it in 3 days in your chose to (4 is still better in out view).
There are lots of lovely dive sites close to Port Andratx to suit various tastes e.g. fish, wrecks etc.
However, what made this such a good experience was the attentiveness and friendliness of the people at Cool Divers. From the owner down they cannot do enough to look after you and apart from their primary concern for your safety they give you all of the support you need to understand the various aspects of diving, to get under the water and gain confidence and ultimately to help you be prepared for the final exam.
There are quizzes and tests each day but if you read the material, listen and watch the instructors then it is not too onerous.
Having completed the course with them we will now be able to dive when we want to both in Mallorca and elsewhere.
A great company and a PADI course at a reasonable price.
