“Great family holiday”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

We hardly ever used the pool as we drove out to beaches at Sant Elm and Camp de Mar which were only 20 minutes away in the car. As a couple we found the pool very noisy with children but obviously great as a family holiday. The one bedroom apartment was spacious and the kitchen area was sufficient for breakfast and the odd lunch. It was very clean and tidy and the maid cleaned every day. The location is perfect! a stroll into the port in the evening to find one of the best choices of restaurants anywhere. El Coche, Can Pasta, La Gallega to name just a few. My only niggles are they charge for wifi and charge 2 euros a day for the safe! I know its not much but then why bother charging?!! Come on guys this is the 21st century!

An excellent hotel with friendly staff in a superb location. It is on the quiet side on the port but a flat pleasant walk to the shops & restuarants. It was good to have a small kitchen with a fridge, hobs and micriowave.

This is an excellent hotel, however, because there is not much on Port Andratx I thought I would leave some advice. Small port town with lots of restaurants, only one bar, Tim,s. Prices - At the lower end you can have a meal for two for about 30 euros, higher end 130 Euros. Beer prices between 3 euros to 5 euros, short with a mixer - 8 euros, wine - from 13 euros a bottle. I would not recommend for families with older children, couples and couples with young children will love this area. This is where the money is, so to have a good time, I would recommend taking between 200 and 300 euros per day.

Room Tip: Keep away from the pool as this can be noisey in the mornings, especially if you are a night owl and...

We stayed in a superior apartment overlooking the sister hotel (Mon Port). The apartment was spotless and was cleaned every day which was lovely. The air con was brilliant, which was lucky as Majorca was having a heat wave during our stay. We spent most of our days at the pool at Mon Port which our kids preferred as it had 3 distinct areas of different depths. We did use the tennis court at Pergola ( you have to book well in advance in order to get a court early or late) and also enjoyed the table tennis by the pool. Apart from coffees and ice lollies (very reasonably priced) we didn't use the pool bar or restaurant preferring to prepare our own breakfast and lunch and eating out in the evening. We would have liked an oven as well as a hob but we managed. There is a little supermarket about 5 minutes walk where you can get the basics, we would buy fresh bread and croissants daily, for a bigger shop you would need to go into the port. The location, Port Andratx, is stunning. It was a highlight of our day to wander down in the evening and choose one of the waterside restaurants for dinner. Ignore the reviewer who found it arduous to walk to the port, my 5 year old nephew managed it each evening without complaint! The resort is quite expensive ( a lot of the people staying there have arrived on their motor yachts!) but that does keep some of our less desirable compatriots away. The tattoo count was pretty low and the only football shirts I saw were a) for Spanish teams b) worn by children. The staff at La Pergola were efficient but not the friendliest I have come across, a couple of the guys on reception were downright frosty, but there was one who was lovely and who would banter with the children. Our maid was very sweet and the maintenance man who fixed our door when the battery in the key card failed was great, literally running to get a part despite the 90 degree heat. The grounds were kept verdant and spotless by one guy who seemed to work from dawn to dusk! We lazed about most days but did make a trip to the amazing restaurant Cala Conils at St Elm, they have a saltwater pool there and you can also sunbathe above a little bay whils the kids play in the sea below. Would love to go back but need to save my pennies!

Room Tip: If you have really small children ask for a ground floor apartment away from the pool, some of those...

Definitely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in Mallorca. Very good food with a huge variety of different fish, meat and vegetarian and even vegan dishes! Great breakfast, good coffee, friendly staff.

Lovely pool, clean and safe for all ages.

Special thanks to Gabriel at the reception, who was extremely friendly and helpful!

We had a bungalow, which was modern, clean and very spacious - totally suitable for families and pure luxury for us as a couple.

The massage at the Spa of Mon Port (Partner Hotel) was really good and Santiago, the physotherapist was really professional! We really LOVED it!

Room Tip: Bungalow is very spacious, ideal for bikers and families

The apartment was very clean and spacious with a lovely pool view. The front desk gave me a choice of two rooms, both of which were great. We booked this last minute as we hated the previous hotel we were in and we were lucky there was something available. No problems, whatsoever. Good location if you have a car. Close to Camp de Mar and Sant Elm beaches, both of which we loved. Walking distance to the port for restaurants etc.(parking is difficult to find in the port but not at the hotel). Pretty spa next door.

The only negatives would be that you had to drive to the beach (although it's a short drive). A glass shower door would be preferable to a shower curtain.

We have just returned from a 1 week stay as a family with an 8 year old and a 7 month old.
We stayed in a 'bungalow' which is actually a 2 storey town house on a self catering basis. The accommodation was spacious, very clean and quite modern with adequate cooking facilities. Air conditioning is standard and the maid service is daily.
The pool area is clean and caters well for children with plenty of shallow areas. Loungers seemed plentiful but there is the usual 'towel reservation' system in operation. Where it lets itself down is the eating areas. We ate in the restaurant once and the snack bar twice and although the food is nice the service is poor. The attitude seems to be that as most people had prepaid for food there were no tips to be earned. Getting a waiter to the table was hard and when food came it was slammed onto the table in random order with hot adult food placed in front of a baby in a high chair.
The port itself is a 15 minute walk over flat terrain and is non touristy with many nice places to eat. Those wanting more including a beach will need transport.
We would definitely return as we had a lovely time.
