Description: Our lovely Little Gem is located in the picture perfect village of Denham - and although we may be modest in size, we're certainly big on country charm, delicious food and friendly faces. Feel right at home as soon as you step through the door... Our delightful dining room and bar area is inviting and cosy, especially with the log fire roaring in those chillier months (You may spot Tucker keeping warm here...) For those sunnier, warmer days, our beautiful, large garden and secluded terrace area are pretty much perfect. Enjoy outdoor dining whilst the little ones have a ball. Everything on our menus is freshly made in our kitchen and changes in line with the seasons. We always use the best local produce that we can get our hands on. In fact - If you think your veggies are top of the crops, please bring them along - we accept them as currency! (We're totally serious) From our well stocked bar, we serve a selection of great real ales and lagers, IPA being our local rebellion ale, alongside a good range of soft drinks and organic juices. Our wine list is carefully sourced (certainly not the worst job in the world) and features boutique wineries - producing an exciting and individual list, with many wines served by the glass. If it's your own little space you require for that business get together or meal with family and friends, our private dining room is the perfect area... Please just speak to us about your requirements. So, if you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the town and city and relax with wonderful food and drink, our lovely pub should be your first stop... We look forward to welcoming you soon! Mark, Tucker & The Team p.s Don't forget - Sunday is kids, pooch and muddy boots day!

“Great place to go for a fantastic lunch”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

This place is a fantastic place to eat and to have a loverly time with a partner. It is a beautiful building that offers great food which isbcooked to perfection by the staff and served by friendly, helpful and smiling waitresses and waiters. The wine list is good and so is the ale on offer
I would recommend this place to every one and I would suggest you book because it does get busy!

“Not great”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

To be honest we've been here before and it was fine but this time it just didn't do it for us. It was the first day of the new menu which wasn't great, there were very few dishes that appealed. The sausages were ok but the hoisin chicken was a bit dry and tasteless and the side of coleslaw didn't really go with it. The worst thing though was that we waited over half an hour for our meal - a bit surprising as it was early on a Friday evening and it wasn't that full. Whilst I don't think the prices are necessarily unreasonable, they do need to be backed up by decent food and good service which unfortunately wasn't the case on this occasion.

“Imaginative menu, lovely setting”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Used this gastro pub for a special occasion evening meal as it is quite expensive and has a rather formal atmosphere rather than a fun night out.

“Not for Wheelchairs”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

What a lovely village and a Pub restaurant with excellent food and very good service.

I did not see the lovely outside seating as there were stairs to the out side, I was told it was average.

After our friends (who booked the Swan) said they were told its OK for wheelchairs I drove around the area and turned up at the Swan. We travelled for a long time so we went in early, I found the entrance was very hard to negotiate in a wheelchair and the layout was not the best.
I ordered drinks and asked for the toilet and then was told no disabled facilities, so after driving around for 2 hours and knowing that we would not be leaving for at least 2 hours plus the drive home, I was left in an uncomfortable an unhealthy position.
Again it was the fault by another restaurant chain that does not want to accept their responsibility.
They will try and use the listed building excuse but if they go to the Cotswolds they will see 17th 18th century pubs with full disabled facilities, its companies like Salisbury Pubs do not want to spend the money on the alterations.

What is the use of having a Disability Discrimination Act being LAW for 10 years if they do not want to do anything about this situation.
