My wife and I had a splendid week enjoying the simple delights of Budleigh Salterton. Walking along the river Otter, where we saw our first ever kingfisher, the beach, buying fresh caught fish and crabs from local fishermen, and eating in the evening at the excellent very nearby restaurants. The apartment was first class in every way and a lovely place to wind down before bed. We have already booked another visit in December to sample the food festival.
The apartment is ideally situated overlooking the beach and handy for the shops and restaurants. It is comfortably appointed with all the facilities you could need. Even changeable weather could not spoil a relaxing week.
A delightful short stay in this lovely comfortable apartment. It is wonderful to open the French door in the living room, take in the panoramic view and listen to the waves washing up onto the pebble beach. This is a great place for a nice quiet relaxing break.
Pebbles, the Apartment at Budleigh Salterton is probably the most perfect beachside apartment. Ideally located, it overlooks a beautiful natural pebble beach with the red cliffs of the East Devon coast and the sea beyond. It also has the convenience of the town's amenities nearby. Well equipped, comfortable and very tastefully decorated, the apartment has everything you need to enjoy this tranquil location whatever the weather.
Entrance right next door to the ice-cream shop - what could be better? All rooms at the back of the building over looking the beach and the sea. All very clean and comfortable. Spent our time watching the coming and going on the beach, bought fresh fish straight from the boat, lovely strolls through the town and along the sea shore. Highlight was viewing wild beaver on the River Otter just a short distance away. Thoroughly recommend.
Quite possibly our favourite apartment / location combo ever - and we've stayed in a lot of places! The apartment was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the view right onto the beach exceeded our expectations. We thought there may have been some clever photography regarding the view from the front window, but it was actually better than we had hoped for. Great for people-watching, and lovely to watch the fishermen come and go. A step out of the back door brings you right onto the coast-path bordering the beach, and the front door leads immediately to the shops and eateries in this small and quaint seaside town.
All in all, a marvellous four days in a beautiful apartment, with the added bonus of being almost on the pebbles of the beach.
Wonderful apartment, stunning sea views, shame about the public car parking restrictions.(as the man in the T/I office told us if you come to Devon dont bring your car)!!!
