The Alliance has now been refurbished - well done it looks great love the realistic sounds.
I live locally and visited the attractions numerous times over the years - we are lucky to have the museum on our doorstep.
Great little cafe.

well worth a visit very interesting especially the conspiracy theory laden tale of commander crab the Navy diver who dissapeared during a dive in Portsmouth Harbour under a visiting Russian ship, did he work for MI6 and joined the Russians or was he captured by the Russians and killed? http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/may/9/newsid_4741000/4741060.stm, also see the diving bells and suits of the past, a complete history of diving, especially Naval.

This museum is amazing! Its not open all year round, as its run by volunteers, but its well worth a visit when it is open. There are exhibits connected with all aspects of diving, great fun for children and really interesting for adults.Parking directly outside, close to great café and sea shore.

Been meaning to go for ages and because there was a VW Camper/Beetle run to the restaurant next door they opened even though it was their closed season. The museum isn't large, but well worth a visit and at £2 entrance fee for an adult it's actually great value for money. The displays are well presented and very informative and mostly not behind glass. The lady guide that showed us round had lots of knowledge and gave a very informative, entertaining and professional talk. It's little gem museums like this that make travelling so much more interesting. And if you fancy something to eat, the Bayside Cafe next door is a gem as well.
