“Brand new Premier Inn, Gosport”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Stayed her a couple of times on business. Very clean, ultra modern, can't complain. The only downfall is that you cannot open the windows as they are sealed. On my first stay the cleaners really made the room sparkle however the next time I stayed they just cleaned to a minimum though as I'm not messy it didn't really matter that much. A word of advise, when having the Premier Inn breakfast you cross over to The Sail maker which is a good carvery however the breakfast cups were dirty and the croissants were dry and cheap so be vigilant when having a cuppa! /all in all a good experience.

Just spent two nights here and it provided all the usual Premier Inn standards, nice clean room, excellent bed and good shower. The windows are sealed but there is air conditioning which I never really got to grips with. It either seemed to be on or off. I could have asked I suppose but I was in late and out early. It did make the room exceptionally quiet. The hotel is less than a year old and shares a large car park with a skating rink and gym. Outside the aesthetics are a bit lacking but I suppose once the trees have matured a bit it will look better.
Next door there is a Marston’s pub, The Sailmaker, which from the menu serves typical ‘pub grub’ food. The carvery looked good value if that is your thing but it isn't mine. It felt a bit soulless with a large L shaped room and with it filling rapidly I called a cab and went elsewhere. (The New Bengal, qv). Breakfast there was very good.
One of my gripes is places that still charge for wi-fi and I really think it is high time Premier Inn offered it for free. £82 for a room (without breakfast) is hardly budget price so it ought to include wi-fi. Yes, there is 30 mins free but it is very mean. I have no idea what the charges are after that, I would never pay it. With decent deals around for data SIMs, does anyone pay for wi-fi?

Good quality "budget" hotel on outskirts of Gosport - rather in the middle of nowhere - but great for visiting attractions around. Restaurant provided by Marstons pub alongside - good value but no AMEX.

Whilst I am not a big fan of "chains", you can't fault Premier for their strategy - you don't have a good night, you don't pay - so they go out of their way to ensure that it is a good night!

The staff are the most welcoming of any hotel, whatever the stars! The rooms are basic, but very comfortable (so what more do you need?) and the pub next door serves good, wholesome food - great carvery rolls !!

The only downside to this hotel was the parking - tight spaces (for a Land rover) and full of gym and ice-rink visitors (which are both next door), so parking can be a bit problematic.

As others have commented this is a relatively new, therefore in good condition, with decent tv, Premier Inn and as we were visiting the area for an explore and got a good deal booking early it ticked all the right boxes for us. Indeed the welcome from the reception was warm and friendly, our room pleasant, all we expected of a Premier Inn. The location suited us well in that we could leave the car behind for a couple of days, get the frequent bus service to Gosport, over by ferry for a wander round Portsmouth. My reservations? Well the fact that in recent months we've stayed at two PI's with partnering arrangements with a pub "next door" - and thereby lies our problem - The Sailmaker separate review - not awful by any means but with enough niggles to make us think twice about this sort of arrangement again and will look in future for Premier Inn with integral restaurants.

There were three in our family group for the one night stop. We were there to see the Submarine Museum and the Naval Museum/Mary Rose without lots of driving.
The Premier Inn is less than a year old, the receptionist was very polite and helpful. The rooms were spotless and we all had a good nights sleep.
Meals are taken at The Sailmakers Arms just next door. There was a very good choice for breakfast and you certainly did not go hungry.

Stayed here in a family room for 2 nights with husband and teenage son. The room was spacious, well appointed and very clean. The hotel is situated at the side of a busy road but there is minimal noise because of the sealed windows. There was very little noise heard within the hotel; just the occasional muffled sound. Room temperature is controlled by AC which worked efficiently, All the staff we came in contact with were pleasant and helpful. I would be happy to stay here again and I would recommend it to others. The only downside was the Sail maker pub next door which wasn't up to much (poor quality food, no clear ordering procedure, draught bitters disappointing etc.)
