I visited Kellah Farm in April and planned to return. I have just spent eight nights at this wonderful place, four nights in the wonderful B&B which I reviewed in April and four nights in Chapel View Cottage, self catering. Having the cottage gave me more space and freedom as I was staying with my partner, daughter and grandson, but we did miss Lesley and Katie's wonderful breakfasts. The cottage is less modern that the B&B (it was renovated in 2000 from a house and the byre and hayloft) and could probably do with an extra bathroom when several people are staying but it was warm, comfortable and clean. Everything we could possibly need was available in the kitchen, we had a private garden and the bedrooms were large, with different bed arrangements possible to suit various families/guests. There was a cupboard filled with everything you might need to borrow should bad weather have set in - books, games, wellington boots... All in all a lovely place to spend a relaxed holiday. I shall return to Kellah but I haven't decided whether I will stay in a cottage or in the B&B next time.

We stayed at Kellah for almost a week. The room was clean, the place was lovely. My children were able to help with a few chores, and Katie and Leslie were wonderful with them. We had a birthday boy during our stay and a cake was arranged easily and with pleasure. I couldn't imagine a better place for our family to have stayed while walking Hadrian's Wall. All of the recommendations made to us were fabulous. The breakfasts were delicious and our hosts were flexible even when our children were not! So glad we caught the end of sheep shearing as well. Highly recommend!

We stayed just one night in this fabulous farmhouse which has first class facilities. The rooms are beautiful, it is so quiet and peaceful and our hosts very willing to recommend what to see, where to eat and to spend time talking to guests. We would have stayed longer if had more time. Would highly recommend it to anyone travelling in that part of the country.

While walking the Pennine Way, we stayed overnight in this first class accommodation. It was our second visit and the high standards seen previously have been maintained. Excellent bedrooms, a wide range of choice for breakfast and hosts prepared to spend time talking to you. No hesitation in recommending this farm. It might be a little difficult to find but it I well worth the effort.

We stayed here with our two children and had a perfect nights break. The family run B and B has very comfortable, clean and well equipped rooms. We were made to feel like part of the family on the farm. The breakfast was locally sourced food and most delicious. We highly recommend Kellah and will definitely book again.

Fabulous B&B - really well appointed room and spacious ensuite. We stayed for 3 nights - it would have been nice to stay for a week. The large dining and lounge rooms are lovely. Lots of reading material in both rooms. The whole B&B is kept absolutely spotless. Katie and Lesley are very friendly and helpful. I had a sore throat when we first arrived. Lesley ensured that I had some salty water to gargle during the day - she was so thoughtful. I was able to wash our clothes and dry them in the boot room. We spent a whole day exploring parts of Hadrian's Wall which are not far away, but the B&B is in a beautiful quiet area away from the tourist hoardes! We loved the background bleating of the sheep and lambs we can hear from our room.

Room Tip: We stayed in Hadrian, a double room.
