This was an amazing find and we shall definitively be back. Our journey to find this amazing place was stunning in itself, having turned off the main road and traveled for a few miles, you start to cross open moorland on a single track road which eventually leads to a track which crosses open farm land down to the farm. Its so picturesque ! although we didn't have a dog (the landlord appeared almost disappointed) they appear to be very welcome and we adopted one of the farm dogs each morning as it seemed to know when breakfast was :-) just beautiful, peaceful and quite, oh and very dark. not a street light for miles.
The cottage we stayed was called the Byre, it felt very lavish but still cottagy, rustic and homely - you have to see it to appreciate the large wood burner, the well equipped kitchen, the luxurious feel bathroom and amazing beds!
The pre lite fire and the fresh cake on arrival was also very much appreciated.More
