“Very nice little hotel”
Reviewed 25 September 2012

The Manor House only has a few rooms but we stayed with them in early September 2012. The room was on the third floor with no lift, but was very nice and clean. Slept very well. The hotel has a very nice pub in the hotel and a restaurant as well.

Very comfortable rest for the price.

I booked this hotel by phone and also online as I changed my mind about how many nights to stay.
The bookings went very smoothly and Earle the owner/manager was very helpful and very polite and friendly.
I arrived on a Saturday night and Earle quickly booked me in and nothing was too much to ask and any questions I had were answered instantly as Earle had good local knowledge.
The rooms were very well presented and the breakfast was first class. The power shower was just; well; GREEEEEAAAT.
I'd certainly go back again and would recommend this Inn to anyone.

Room Tip: Make sure you book a room at the back away from the bar area as it could be a bit noisy if there is...

A more friendly staff you could not meet.
Breakfast very good. Set you up for doing 18 mile walksalong wall.
Car park at rear is very small but safe.
Room very clean.
Place could do with updating.
Bar is very 'Blokey' lots of big screens showing football. ( Start of Euro championship)
A group of us had an evening meal which was great but service was slow. Home made from fresh and watching food ball?? We were given the breakfast room to ourselves which was great.

Stayed for 3 nights in comfortable, spotlessly clean room no1. Excellent shower and very comfy bed. Breakfast first class and we ate in the bar 3 nights running as the menu choices suited us well. The Inn is well placed for walking Hadrian's wall and the Hadrian's wall bus AD122 picks up in Haltwhistle.

A one off excursion to walk (part of) Hadrians Wall and surrounding villages led us to the MHI. A very comfortable room that had recently been updated, nice and warm to dry off our clothing! and a VERY hearty breakfast. Off road secure parking was key for my wifes new car (!) and the staff were great. Would use again.

Room Tip: Ask for Room 4 or 5

We stayed here for two nights whilst on a cycling touring holiday on the Hadrian's Wall Cycleway.

There was a secure building where we stored our bikes.

The rooms were clean. We had dinner in the pub on one night and the food was lovely. There were good beers on tap.

The staff were friendly, they even washed some of my companion's clothes.

It's conveniently located in the centre of Haltwhistle.

Great place to stay and eat.
