We were delighted to find this small, organic cafe in Haltwhistle. Tasty cheese scones, soups, homemade cakes and other snacks. Good value too.

Glad you liked them. Have to admit I stole the idea of lemon scones from Anne at Simonburn Tea Rooms when working there for a short period. www.simonburntearooms.com. Her scones are splendid too!

Stopped here on 4th May 2013 while up for the Haltwhistle Walking Festival - had a beautiful home made ginger cake! - Excellent friendly, cosy atmosphere and efficient service! Got speaking to some lovely local people - I'll definitely be back while I'm next in the area. A nice touch that they also have reading material available for patrons.

Enjoy a large variety of home-baked scones and cakes to delight every palate. The soups are superb and there is good filter coffee and umpteen types of tea for the connosieur to sample. The atmosphere is friendly and the owner Jill will make you very welcome. There are delicious evening meals available 6.30 - 8.30 most Saturday evenings.
