“Fantastic”

We stayed at this lovely B&B for three nights and wished it could have been more. It was spotlessly clean, really clean. Everything was top quality. Lovely large rooms and bathrooms. Beds were so comfy. Cracking breakfast and the kippers were wonderful. Heather was a lovely lady, never met her husband, but he is a great breakfast maker! On site parking which makes a huge difference in the sea side towns. Thoroughly recommend.

My wife and I travelled to the Isle of Man from Heysham, at 1415hrs on Monday 25th October 2010 arriving in Douglas just before sunset. We drove down to Port Erin where we had booked bed and breakfast at Rowany Cottier, a superb guest house between the golf course and the bay. The building itself is a little over ten years old, having been purpose-built as a guest house, and replaces a massive hotel, the Towers, which had been run by the family of the present owners, the Keggins.
Just to look at the building, you know instantly that you have chosen well!! We were staying in room 2, a double overlooking the golf course. The room was of generous proportions, with a large double bed fitted with a memory foam mattress; the en suite bathroom was a delight and the shower powerful enough to knock you over!!
At breakfast, we were sat in the window overlooking Port Erin bay to enjoy local produce, and a huge selection of fruit, cereals etc etc. We stayed three nights and almost wished that the predicted rough weather would prevent our ferry from leaving, so that we could stay another night!!. Good food, comfortable room, great location and friendly hosts - what more could you want? Oh yes, great value too! Port Erin itself is a delightful resort but sadly some of the big old hotels are closing down. The steam railway connects with Douglas; there are great walks nearby; a nice compact centre, and good eating places in the Station Hotel, and the chippy next door! When next we visit the Isle of Man, we know exactly where we will be heading!

This is an excellent value for money guest house in a wonderful location. Clean and friendly, superb breakfasts, home made bread and Manx kippers to order! Early breakfast tray left outside our room as we were catching an early ferry. Would definitely return.

Stayed three nights. Room overlooked Poert erin and South. Beautiful view. Owner (Heather) very welcoming and friendly. We had a twin room which was large and very clean, good TV and decently sized bathroom. Memory foam beds though which I am not really used to and don't find entirely comfortable.
Breakfast very good with nice home made bread.
Expensive for a B&B at £81 per room/night but I think this is on a par with other properties on the Isle Of Man also wanted a £100 non refundable deposit when booked about 6wks before our stay which I was not entirely comfortable about but worked out fine. I would stay here again. Perhaps not a place for children.

A perfect place to stay in Port Erin. The house is at the top of the bay at Spaldrick near Bradda Glen in a very quiet location. The beds were excellent quality and very comfortable. The Manx Breakfast was cooked to perfection and we ate with Sheffield made cutlery, an true indication of the quality of the guest house!! I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Man.

We have just returned from a short break in the Isle of Man. We love Port Erin so decided to stay at Rowany Cottier. I can fully recommend this guest house. It is a short walk from Port Erin opposite Bradda Glen. We had superb sea views from our bedroom. We ate our superb Manx breakfast with Sheffield made cutlery (Hiram Wild) which if course proves the quality of the guest house!! The views from our room were brilliant. The house is beautifully appointed and the beds exceptionally comfortable. The hosts were very friendly without being overpowering.
Thoroughly recommended.

Very high standard room facilities and decor. Homely hostess and good location for coastal walks. Port Erin has good restaurants and small shops and is at the terminus of the railway to Douglas.
