Description: The Bay Hotel is a traditional real ale pub and restaurant. We offer a great range of real ales including our 4 regular bitters brewed by the local Bushy's brewery as well as seasonal English guest ales. We also offer a wide range of whisky, wines and spirits, including a lovely range of popular rums. We serve homemade, delicious food using mainly local produce. It is served 7 days a week with your choice of eating in the restaurant part with a lovely table service or in the bar side. There's also the outside decking seating area for the warm months. We are a small business and we always aim to please and welcome our customers as that is our main priority. We are dog friendly too, so for those with a well behaved four legged friend, you are more than welcome to visit our bar area, whether it is for a great local pint of bitter or just a cup of coffee, the choice is yours.

“Proper pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014 via mobile

Good selection of beer including the local Bushey ale. Food is good pub grub, nothing flashy but satisfying.

“Nice Lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

We travelled to Port Erin on the steam train. We found this pub and were pleased that we did. The sandwiches we had were lovely, definitely recommend the beef, ham and crab sandwiches served in warm ciabatta bread. The fillings were excellent and portions were good. Hot dog that one of our party had was disappointing as it was not a proper hot dog. Staff were friendly and helpful.

“Lovely Sunday lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

We took the steam train to Port Erin and had a wander around. There is not much to do there and despite it being a sunny Bank Holiday Sunday - there was very little open.
The Bay Hotel had been recommended and so we decided to eat there.
The hotel lacks kerb appeal but once inside - very cosy and welcoming.
We were offered a table by the window so able to enjoy the sea views.
My friends had the Sunday Roast which was huge and I had the Bushey Steak pie which was delicious.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and service was excellent.
All the other diners were local which is a good sign and they were friendly and helpful.
A lovely, relaxed Sunday lunch experience with good food and good service - highly recommend.

“Real ale!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014

A proper pub, not one of these pretendy trying to look like an old pub type place, but a proper old fashioned pub, fabulous, and a rarity. We enjoyed a selection of real local ales and cider on a quiet early Sunday evening before heading off elsewhere for food as they didn't serve food at the time. Ales and ciders were great, laid back atmosphere was nice and the bar staff friendly.

“Great beer and lovely food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2014

We stopped in here for lunch, initially we were a little worried by how quiet it was but this was obviously nothing to do with the friendly service, the really well kept ale and the food that was delicious. Would recommend to anyone in the area and would love to come back if we have the chance.
