Spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms.
Both Bedrooms had plenty of space and storage. One a Double and the other a twin bedroom. Good size kitchen / diner / sitting room. Bathroom was tight but had a full size bath and was perfectly adequate.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, facilitating us trying to print boarding passes for our return flight and minding our delivery of golf clubs in the office before we arrived.
The pool was a surprisingly large L shape. One leg of the L deep and suitable for the better swimmer, the other side with the slide suitable for children. Pool also had a jacuzzi and Sauna. The pool could have done with some natural light as it was quite dark, but again was clean and was perfectly adequate. The games room did seem as if it needed some maintenance, Table tennis net was torn and the fussball had bits of cardboard and what looked like some goo stuck to the surface internally.
We didn't use the restaurant but we found the bar staff were very friendly when we had a drink in the bar.

Overall you couldn't describe the Cherry Orchard as luxurious but it was clean and spacious with good staff and we would certainly stay there again.

My husband and I have just had a wonderful 2 weeks at the Cherry Orchard apartments. We last stayed at the Cherry Orchard in the 1980's when our 3 children were little and each year they loved their holidays and especially the swimming pool. We decided to call the Cherry and enquire about a holiday and Eunice very efficiently arranged everything for us. It was wonderful from the moment we entered the hotel and Eunice had stayed to welcome us to Gerry who helped with our luggage and to the friendly happy staff who couldn't do enough for us. We have just spent 2 of the happiest weeks ever. We have been holidaying abroad for years but this has outshone all of that. We hope to return to an Island that has remained the same. Thank You Cherry Orchard. Annie. Ray

Room Tip: Eunice sorted all of our requirements

This facility is an aparthotel with the bar and restaurant open to the public. In the evenings the food is served in a defined restaurant area but at lunch time it is served in the open plan bar area.

The restaurant area was busy when we looked in one evening and even busier when we had lunch there another day. The menu was not extensive and consisted of meals such as gammon and chips, lasagna, scampi, prawn salad etc. The quality and quantity of the food was very good and enjoyable too. However once the order had been taken and the main courses served there was no further contact from serving staff either in terms of clearing the table or offering desserts, coffee etc, and eventually it was a case of going to the bar and settling the account.

More of a place, at least at lunch time, to have a relatively quick meal but with minimum atmosphere or comfort.

I mixed business with a trip to see the Southern 100 racing, The welcome was warm and sincere, and I was shown to my apartment and everything pointed out to me, which was a nice touch. The kitchen and bathroom were lovely, and obviously new, and the other rooms were older - but not in need of modernising, they were fine. I will definitely go back.

Room Tip: Mine was fine!!

We live in port erin and since having our little girl dont go out for meals often, however with lovely weather my husband, our 5 month old daughter and myself took a stroll to the cherry orchard restaurant for some tea for hubbys birthday.
We had no booking but as we were early they had room for us, the service was friendly and helpful, the food was lovely and certainly homemade. My husband hates places that do frozen chips and was so very delighted to get proper homemade chips. There was no issue with us dining with my daughter, the staff were lovely to her and kept chatting to her each time they were at our table.

We would recommend this restaurant, staff friendly, food was fantastic, it was served hot and fresh. There is a lovely atmosphere and children are welcomed.

We stayed here for a week in March, and were a little disappointed with the temperature in our apartment for the first few days. It was during the very cold and snowy week but due to where the thermostat was situated the living.kitchen area was freezing and the bedrooms were boiling. After closing a slightly ajar kitchen window, it got slightly better but was quite uncomfortable to begin with. The apartment could do with a little modernisation but was fine - no problems. The staff on reception and the cleaners were friendly and this all helped. The restaurant staff were superb, and the food was fantastic, we ate there three times during our stay and did not get served a bad meal, in fact we wished we lived nearer so we could visit the restaurant more regularly. All in all, well worth a visit!!

Nuclear blast doors that slam behind you between all rooms, and a combination of woodchip wallpaper and artex ceilings made this 2 bed apartment quite retro – in so many ways like the Isle of Man itself. It was clean comfortable and well maintained with towel changes daily. The lift and jacuzzi were sometimes reluctant and the shower a typical dribble, although the staff were welcoming and very helpful. Like the rest of the island, the inhouse restaurant was not cheap. Views were limited to the bus station although there were misty hills beyond

Port Erin was probably one of the two best or prettiest towns to stay in, and I’m sure that the combination of the location and accommodation was as good as anything on the island.
