“The Best Sunday Carvery on the Isle of Man”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2014

I have been a few times over the past couple of years and have never been disappointed by the Sunday Carvery.

The variety of meat options is nothing short of staggering and the chef who carves it for you is friendly, knowledgeable and generous with his cuts.

The trimmings available are always tasty and again there is something for everyone. The parsnips are for me some of the best roast veg I have ever had.

For £11 for the main carvery meal I simply don't know how you could do it any cheaper at home.

We visit Chequers often and have never had a bad meal. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Can recommend their burgers... nicest in the south of the Island. Sunday Carvery is always very nice.

“Wonderful Sunday Carvery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014

Staying at the Cherry Orchard as a resident holidaymaker we enquired when we arrived about booking a Carvery the day after we arrived 'sorry fully booked' came the answer. This told me that it must be popular, and in turn, very good. After some wrangling we managed to get squeezed in for Easter Sunday (today) dinner by booking a week ahead. It was worth the wait. What a delicious Carvery and at a decent price too. Lovely selection of meats, and plenty of fresh veg and the most delicious meaty gravy. Oh it was a delight! Followed by the best Baileys cheesecake I've ever had. It was all worth it in the end and I'm not surprised that people book in advance and that it's so popular. Delish!

“NOT BAD!! Try harder”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2014 via mobile

Ok so my review unfortunately for the cherry I visited the bradda glen carvery the week before and was amazing blown away from staff and the food was just perfect and the week after I visited here and it's just no comparison for port erin the staff where great but Sunday lunch is at a consistant bog standard not striving forward and keeping up with what's going on in port erin maybe they should take some time out and go eat in other places and see what's going on!
