We stayed at Bluebell Cottage on September 5, 2009 while on our break exploring the West Coast of Scotland.
Iris and Graham were the best hosts. It was like staying with family.
Everything was great! Would definitely be stopping by here if our travels take us back this way.

I needed a stopover in Kennacraig to catch the ferry to Islay (like most people I guess).
I could not have a chosen a better place.Graham and Iris were most welcoming and helpful with anything you needed.
The location was just great for both ferries to Islay and Arran (both just minutes away)
The room was spotless and perfect in every sense (one of the few B&Bs that I have stayed in with Sky TV !)
Breakfast was spot on and I went away a happy customer
Having had a chance to look around Kintyre briefly before the ferry crossing to Islay
I found it quite beautiful and will return for a better look. When I do then I will stay at Bluebell again without a doubt

Graham runs a nice B&B on the Kintyre Penisula. Bluebell Cottage is a perfect stopover between Islay and Arran, or along the peninsula itself. Graham is a very nice chap, who provides a great service in addition to B&B - he'll pick up and drop off at the nearby Claonaig (to Arran) and Kennacraig (to Islay) ferry ports. It's difficult to get between these spots, and the ferries aren't timed together. His service is great.
The home is clean and nice, with tea facilities, big rooms, and alongside a nice creek. Breakfast was tasty and we enjoyed our night here.

We stayed in Bluebell Cottage for 2 nights in July 2008.
This is the best B&B we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Iris and Graham are the friendliest of couples who just can't do enough for their guests.
The house is spotless and all the fixtures are beautiful.
The house is only 2 minutes by car from Kenacraig ferry terminal with trips to the Western Isles on your doorstep. The ferry for Ghia is about 10 minutes drive in the other direction and this is an island nobody should die without seeing.
If you are going to the western seaboard of Scotland on holiday or business Iris and Graham's is the only place to stay!
We cannot recommend Bluebell Cottage highly enough.

My husband and I have just returned from a trip to the mainland to our home on the island of Islay in the southern Hebrides. We needed somewhere to stay overnight before catching the early morning ferry from Kennacraig and we certainly found a gem of a B & B in Bluebell Cottage. This beautiful newly built house, nestling in secluded woodland is some two minutes from Kennacraig, the ferry port for Islay, and five minutes from Claonaig, the ferry port for Arran. The guest rooms are all beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean with everything that you could possibly want for an overnight stay at your fingertips. We awoke to the sound of the birds singing and the burn running past our window. Iris and Graham are the most welcoming of hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them - they will even ferry you to and from Tarbert for your evening meal! Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the garden and there is a selection to suit all tastes, from full Scottish to fresh fruit, yoghurt and cheese. If you are island hopping, walking the Argyllshire Way or merely looking for a secluded retreat on the beautiful Mull of Kintyre you couldn't do better than Bluebell Cottage - it is truly a gem!
