“Get away from it camping”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

Fab location.- Perched on the grass next to the beach looking out towards the Islands. The website description is right on the money - no playgrounds, no campsite shops, no onsite pub or restaurant.- but then if everything you need is close at hand in the village on or the beach then it is not needed on-site.
A warm welcome from the owners to the campsite which is 'nipping clean' and deeply cared for without being manicured within an inch of its life- this is the magnificently ruggedly and beautiful Scottish West Coast.
Get out and about on foot or car to explore Kintyre- the drive to Campeltown is very reminiscent of Big Sur and 17 mile drive in California - although the weather is somewhat more unpredictable! As long as the weather is good the are a host of things do to in the Great Outdoors.

Camped here with our dog for a week in April and had an excellent time. The camp site is right on the beach - not many places that you can do this - and the perfect place to unwind. Great beach for the dog to run on with plenty of resident seals on the local reef to keep him interested. Easy access to Campbeltown, Tarbert, Gigha, Arran and Islay if you fancy exploring (Queens Beach on Gigha is stunning!). We had amazing weather for the whole week which definitely adds to the experience seeing as this is south-west Scotland, no rain and it was 16-18 degrees everyday with not a cloud in sight. Sunset everyday was stunning. Pretty much perfect!

We had a fantastic week staying in an extra large, 3 bedroomed caravan with our 2 dogs.
The views across to the west and sunsets were sublime.
The couple who run the site are very helpful and approachable. Everything was spotlessly clean and the grass and beach well maintained.
There is a very well stocked village store and the shopkeeper is very friendly too.
We will return hopefully.

Just returned from a week's holiday here in a static caravan. The accommodation was very comfortable and very well equipped. The location is outstanding, so close to the beach and with the caravans situated to have perfect views. Beautiful site for touring vans or tents as well as the statics. Great base for exploring the Kintyre Peninsula, I managed to do a number of walks on the Kintyre Way and visit Islay, Gigha and Arran on day trips. Outstanding area of natural beauty and well worth a visit. I hope to return.

Room Tip: I was in a one bedroom caravan and was surprised how cosy it was at this time of year. Very well eq...

We visited Muasdale holiday park in July 2011 with our two children (7 & 9) and stayed in the Gigha apartment. The apartment itself is beautiful - well presented, spacious, clean and comfortable. The owners are friendly and welcoming. This is a perfect choice for families who want a relaxing, peaceful holiday. Our children had a wonderful time on the beach and spotting wildlife and my husband and I never tired of the breathtaking sunsets.

I would highly recommend this holiday park, but don't tell too many people as we don't want everyone to know!
