“Great value for breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 October 2013

We went here for breakfast and weren't disappointed with the food, service or price. Great value for money, good choice and very fast service. The carrot and orange juice was wonderful and you get a bottle of juice not a little glass too. The decor is old fashioned with its tables and fixed seats - a little tired, but it doesn't matter if the food and service is as good as this. Would recommend and come back....thanks.

“Good breakfast!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 September 2013

Was advised by a local that this was a good place to eat, and so it was for breakfast on a Sunday morning where it was very busy. Words of advice, if you want coffee, ask for black coffee, otherwise you will be served something different! Seems most people who eat there want milk in their coffee, but this seems to be a very British preference. If you just want a snack, there is a separate place to sit, but being of a slightly portly build, it was not possible for me to fit into the fixed seats! Excellent service, and friendly staff. All for #3.95 each. Last week, I paid #8.25 at a hotel for the same thing - rip off!

“Old fashioned and decent”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 September 2013

Uncorporate, old-fashioned, maybe a little tired decor-wise, but large helpings of down to earth food, realistic prices and delightful friendly staff. NB Very handy for the steam railway.

“Good value, good food”

We ate here this week whilst on holiday, the food was good value and the staff were very friendly, shame we didn't try it earlier in the week.
