I stayed two nights and slept well in a quiet room (5) at the rear of the building and enjoyed a very good continental breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean, had a smart new shower suite and decent towels plus strong WiFi connection free of charge. About 6 or 7 minutes walk from the WHR/FR Stations and real ales in Spooner's Bar.

The car park is large and secure and vehicles can be left all day if one is riding the railway or out walking. The hotel does not do other meals but there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and Purple Moose within a few minutes walk. Spot on.

The hotel is justly very popular so book early.

Stayed here with my wife for 2 nights in May 2014. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Porthmadog and the surrounding areas. We arrived Friday night and were made extremely welcome, we had chocolates and a card left on the bed for my wife for her birthday which was a really nice touch. The couple that run the hotel (sorry forgot their names) are really helpful and took time to show us on a map where everything was and gave excellent advice on local pubs and restaurants. The rooms are not massive but are clean and modern and they have free wireless. I'm finding it hard to find anything to criticise about the Tudor Lodge and would definitely stay again if visiting the area. One thing to note is that the breakfast is continental but it's a good selection of fresh fruit, croissants toast and cereals. Not a criticism just advice, we knew this when we booked. Guess what I'm saying is it might be have rounded off an excellent weekend if we had a full English. Anyway Thanks again for great hospitality :)

Excellent place to stay to explore Snowdon. Very clean, and lovely continental breakfast. Jana was also very helpful providing places to eat and drink in Porthmadog and the surrounding areas. If I was heading back to the area I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Very welcoming and friendly people. Position is near to the bottom of the High Street and within easy walk of pubs and restaurants. Very quiet and peaceful. Single room was very small and cramped. Those that struggle with stairs may wish to avoid as they are narrow and steep. Continental breakfast only. Otherwise ok.

Room Tip: There are rooms on ground floor but breakfast room is door stairs. Ample car parking off-street

This is our second stay at Tudor lodge. We received a very warm welcome, the lodge is clean comfortable and warm and the breakfast is lovely. It has the added advantage of being near the town centre but it is also very quiet. Certainly a good choice.

Room Tip: They have a good selection of ground floor rooms for anyone who has some difficulty with stairs.
