We really enjoyed our stay here, it is in a great spot, handy for the town, the restaurants and the train stating. The room was very comfortable with a lovely big bathroom and a great shower. The breakfast was great and the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help, giving tips and advice on where to go and we even got discount for the railway. I would fully recommend a stay here.

What a lovely place to stay. Carl was very welcoming when we checked in and the room like the remainder of the house was clean and equipped to a very high standard. The ,location is ideal for exploring north west Wales and there was plenty of information available about facilities in the area.
The beds were comfortable and, after a lovely shower, breakfast was glorious - a continental style with meats and cheeses as well as cereals and fruits and lovely tea and coffee. Anja was most attentive and friendly - they are an ideal couple to front such an establishment, I will definitely stay there again

Room Tip: A small establishment, our room was at the rear and was very airy and quiet

It was my girlfriends birthday , and I wanted to do something special, and go to a place where neither of us had been before, we chose portmadoc , Tudor lodge looked beautiful, and it lived up to it's reviews! We were impressed by the hospitality and friendliness we received . Jana was absolutely amazing in arranging a wonderful birthday surprise for my girlfriend , banners, balloons , chocolate strawberries , flowers, champagne on ice, chocolates , and even petals on the bed! All my requirements were met without quibble , and nothing was too much trouble !

A great B&B within walking distance of of Porthmadoc's attractions. Great off road parking if you have a motorbike or a car for that matter in a safe area and out of site of the road.
Clean and comfortable and the only down side was a personal one and that was they only do a continental breakfast other wise it would have got a 5 star rating.

Room Tip: Room 7 is a en suite single and is a on the ground floor.

Lovely little B&B in a great location, just a stones throw from the Ffestiniog Railway. The B&B is decorated in a more traditional old fashioned way and is very cosy. The room was cosy, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and great power shower. Rooms also have free wifi, small flat screen TV, tea/coffee, fan. The breakfast is great - large selection of continental breakfast. The owners are very friendly and helpful - he even recommended some new driving routes for me so I re-planned my route and got to see some amazing scenery! The atmosphere in the breakfast room was amazing - everyone was speaking to each other, sharing travel experiences and recommendations of places to visit. Lovely visit - I would recommend.

Stayed at Tudor Lodge for one night (June '14) while working in the area. Lovely, traditional B&B, (no bar or evening food served), spotless room and on-suite, tea/coffee/kettle/TV/iron & board all available in room. The room itself was decorated to a good standard. Bed very comfortable.
The one negative issue i experienced was no wifi availability upstairs in the room, despite best efforts of the very helpful host, Anja, to resolve the issue. Limited space near reception desk to work.
The check-in was efficient and friendly, local information was provided.
Breakfast was continental, and very good quality, much, much better than the normal British offering. No cooked breakfast on offer but range and quality of the buffet more than made up for this. Coffee was fabulous. Assorted tea's available too.
Overall, despite not being able to work (wifi) this was a gem of a place, centrally located, good parking and very friendly, helpful hosts. Porhtmadog is a great small town with lots to see and do in the vicinity. I would return and recommend this place to friends.
For a B&B i would rate this 4/5.

Room Tip: A room at the rear would be best.

We stayed for two nights in the very sweet cottage attached to the Tudor Lodge. It's very centrally situated and we had an easy walk to the Welsh Highland Railway. The hotel has a continental breakfast feast. A wonderful choice of breads, fresh fruit, cereals, warm croissants and much more. The owners and staff are very friendly and courteous. A lovely retreat. Plenty of car parking too. Excellent.
