“Fabulous Relaxing Stay”
Reviewed 4 September 2010

I only stayed at the Tudor Lodge for 3 nights. On arrival i was given all the information regarding the local area re restaurants, leisure facillities, travel etc. My room was impeccably clean throughout. I had every thing i needed for a most comfortable stay. TV with Freeview. Tea, Coffee and Biscuits etc and Towels were provided. Breakfast was above and beyond an ordinary continental breakfast. There were cold meats, cereals, yogurts, freash fruit, croissants, toast, jams and more. Rooms were serviced daily and very well too. I would highly recommend this friendly, clean and reasonable Hotel to anybody. Thank You !!

Tudor Lodge was a lovely place to stay, the room was comfortable, the cleanliness impeccable. the breakfast was buffet style and excellent with a good assortment of cereals, youghurts, fruit, breads, croissants, cheeses, ham, fruit juices and a good assortment of hot drinks.
the patron was charming and very helpful.
Porthmadog itself is a nice town with some good trips around too as it is very close to snowdonia. a steam train does a lovely trip out into the countryside.

After having the most horrendous experience with a local Hotel (I shall be leaving a review about that too) Myself & 5 friends found ourselves with no room for the night. It was our good fortune to find the Tudor Lodge & be lucky enough that they had 3 doubles available for us.
The lady that looked after us when we arrived could not have been nicer & our rooms were extreemly comfortable.
Even though it was a Continental style breakfast the choices were amazing & we all thought that it had been a very pleasant experience.

A last-minute getaway for me + teenage daughter, just stayed the one night but made very welcome. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, plenty of useful local info, and a comfortable night's sleep. Just what we needed for our break, would love to come back & stay longer

We booked in here last minute at the end of July for 3 nights to attend a wedding in nearby Portmerion. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Anja who made us feel all warm and fuzzy as she was so lovely.

We'd arrived pretty early so our room hadn't been cleaned yet and we literally just went in to check it was OK to park our car in their car park before we were 'official' guests.
Anja was more than OK with this and took the time to introduce herself, check us in anyway, and give us our keys to let ourselves back in later that day.

The room was lovely, the shower was amazing, the breakfast was simple and delicious and the lovely couple who run it were just that - lovely!

The only slight downside, and it is slight because the positives of this place really do outweigh the negatives, is that it's not soundproof. This is an old converted house so the floorboards creak and the noise carries. Don't let this put you off though, just take some earplugs with you if you want a lie in :)

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were made to feel totally welcome from the moment that we walked through the door. The rooms were excellent and in keeping with the high quality of the remainder of the building & service. Whilst I enjoy a “full English” breakfast, the continental offered at Tudor Lodge was more than enough, even for my appetite! Next time that we are looking to stay near Porthmadog, we’ll be back!

Stayed here for one night in a single ensuite room, and received lots of tips and advice from the owner on what to see and do nearby. The place is tidy and clean, just a few minutes from downtown, and they serve a pretty good continental breakfast in the morning. Not a bad place to stay in Porthmadog, and Tremadog is also just a short walk up the road.
