“Average Wetherspoons”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We ate here last Friday evening after arriving for our weekend in Rhyl.
Its cheap and cheerful I suppose just like most other Wetherspoons. The food was nice though plus they served until pretty late which was good for us especially as we never arrived until late.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

We have visited this pub on many occasions whilst traveling around North Wales and have found the service to always be very friendly and professional. The food is on par with any other Wetherspoons (very good) drinks (hot and cold) are all of good quality for the price you pay. The pub can get very busy during the summer season however the staff work very hard to keep the service rolling. The pub is family friendly thus attracting some families that have no regards for
basic good manners by trying to at least keep there unwanted litter off the flooring area and treat
the place like a free for all wacky Warehouse causing the staff to have to run around tidying up
after them at the same time as serving customers.

“Cleanliness let the place down.”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

Went here after work one night recently for a couple of drinks and a bit to eat. On arrival it was hard to find a table that was clean. Lots of dirty plates and glasses hadn't been cleared away and the floor was very dirty with food littered about. Found a clean table near to the bar area which was fine.
Not many staff on behind the bar so it took a little while to get served. Prices not bad though. 6.89 for a bottle of wine and it was a decent wine too.
Food took a while to be brought to the table but it was hot and tasty enough and generous portions provided. Waiting on staff were friendly enough too.
This place is ok for a cheap drink and cheapish food but would be a lot better if there were more staff on to keep the place clean.

“Mmm what can I say”
Reviewed 18 April 2014 via mobile

On arrival and looking for tables at 6.30pm Lots of tables were empty but full of empty plates , glasses and dirty food splats. Especially in the family area
Food on the floor too not nice too see.
Not nice impression on the pub.
Only a cpl of staff serving however did get served in turn.
Cheap drinks as normal.
Waited 50min for or food.
Did enjoy it and was hot etc.
Later During the evening staff did appear to remove glasses and plates.
Staff friendly and we'll presented.
Sadly the cleanliness and dirty tables left did let the chain of W'S down.
One last point wine glasses were hot... when we were given them.

“Incompetent”
Reviewed 18 December 2013 via mobile

Ordered food "chicken wings "as advertised for chicken night was told they had none. Decided on fish and chips and were told that they none of that available either. A short while later our friends joint us and ordered the 14 oz Aberdeen angus steak times two which after half hr wait was delivered to another table. after tucking into meal they realised that it was not what they had ordered. Realising what happened the bar staff came to our table telling us they ran out of steak. Not admitting they had made a mistake. Our friends after getting their money back left to eat elsewhere.
Complained to the manager but was un interested.
