I must say from reading the previous reviews on trip advisor I can only say that I was presently surprised. Yes from the outside it is urgently in need of a face lift. However once inside although dated and the main carpet throughout way in desperate need of a thorough clean the bedrooms were adequate. The towels were clean and white and were changed everyday if required and the bed linen crisp and clean.

We were there for 4 nights as part of a coach tour for breakfast and evening meal. The food was always hot and choices were available served by very friendly and efficient staff. The kitchen and serving area was in an open area at the end of the dining area and was very clean.

I am quite fussy and use to staying in 4 star hotels abroad but would not say this hotel was that bad that I would not stay in it again. You get what you pay for and it was value for money.

Basic 2 star hotel. Desperately in need of updating. Bedding was marked and furniture rickety. Staff all helpful and friendly, location and free parking are the only reasons to choose this hotel. Other problem is lack of decent alternatives in the area.

We went having read the reviews so knew what we were getting. The hotel looks good from the outside and is clean and comfortable inside but very dated. Food was ok. It was a muggy night and with three in the room it got unbearably hot. If only we could have opened a window :(

This is not actually a hotel more like a doss house for homeless and diss people. We booked this for 3 days for a romantic weekend for our anniversary, we arrived at 8:30pm on Friday night and by 10pm we had booked another hotel as we could not stay in this dump. There was hardly any parking, the carpets throughout we're dirty, the whole place smelt of dope as people were clearly smoking it in the rooms. Our room was tiny, there was previous guests dirty tissues in the draw, the wall was cracked and dirty and paint peeling off the walls. Although the bed seemed to be clean I felt uncomfortable sleeping there. On top of that Rhyl itself was a bomb site.At 9pm on a Friday night there was nothing open , no attractions and only one pub, even the cinema was shut. When we returned to the hotel we found that the bar was WAY too expensive. The breakfast was pathetic and hardly any choice.I would NEVER go back to Rhyl or ths hotel and quite frankly I think this establishment should be prosecuted for false advertising.Hotel..???? My garden shed offers more luxury than this dive...AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel in a different town.!!

Hotel was average very dated and we paid extra for an updated room. Breakfast was average and only served for an hour. There was always someone standing outside the hotel in a vest smoking with a pint! Parking is extremely limited.

The hotel staff were very helpful and excellent service. Rhyl is awful there is nowhere decent to eat we were recommended the Chinese but I would definitely keep away from this it was not good. The best place in the whole town was the wetherspoons pub to eat! Rhyl reminds me of a very old fashioned holiday town gone to seed.

Have just returned from a three day bargain break at this hotel. We were exploring the North Wales Coast Cycle track and this was a good central place to stay. After reading some of the reviews we feared the worst however we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean with crisp white sheets and nice clean white towels. The shower worked perfectly and there was plenty of tea/coffee making stuff in the room. We found all the staff very helpful and they even stored our bikes inside the hotel so we didn't have to leave them on the back of the car. Breakfast was quick and adequate and a special mention to Natalie who was a lovely pleasant waitress. Seagulls very noisy but it is the seaside after all.
