It is like we were part of the family !! We had such good times in Vinales with them that it was difficult to leave after 2 days at their home !
This is the best casa we stayed in Cuba and the best moment with Cuban people.
We had 2 unforgettable evenings with them, they showed us how to prepare the mojito (the best of the island for sure, for 10 days after, I was trying to find some as good as the Juan Carlos but that was impossible). We met their friend and family that were passing by. That was great to see how Cuban people live.
We had meals one evening and that was very good …chicken well marinated and wonderful taste, and plenty of “sorpresas” (that I can not talk of …;) )
We stayed in their 2nd casa particular, close to Juan Carlos parents, that they have finished recently.
Juan Carlos spend one afternoon with us, showing us the caves, campaign, views of tobacco fields, …all he loves about his region. Arianna managed to get us dancing salsa in the evening (after some pina colada )
They were very kindly, friendly, that was very difficult to leave!
We just regret that we don’t talk enough spanish to be able to talk and joke about everything.
Finally the casa and room are very clean as brand new, very calm and with a beautiful sunset view in the morning while having a breakfast full of “sorpresas” !
If you go to this casa, please make some “besos” to Juan Carlos y Arianna for us J J, they are really worth meeting !
A casa that you must stop by on your trip in Cuba !!

Nothing was too much trouble for Arianna and her family during our two day stay and even the builders constructing the garden wall made us feel most welcome. We had the room at the end of there property overlooking fields, ranches and onwards to the giant limestone monoliths that surround Vinales. My wife was celebrating her 60th birthday during our stay and Arianna ensured that she enjoyed it having spotted the date in the passport. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful with fresh fruit and juices and seeing the sun bouncing off of the monoliths. However, the dark sky views were brilliant and a pleasure to sit out and watch the stars and listen to the crickets, such a pleasant change from the pollution of Havana. We also dined there and the meal was excellent both for quality and value.

Room Tip: Excellent views across to the limestone monoliths.

Do *not* miss out on staying at Elia and Pedro's houes in Vinales. They made our experience in Vinales magical. Also, it was incredibly reasonably priced, the food is delicious (the best food we ate in all of Cuba), and the house was impecably clean. As Pedro says, it was "muey tranquillo." They are also the nicest people in the world, and will do anything to help you arrange your visit in Vinales. We went horseback riding for $20 and rented bikes for a full day for $10. The dinners are $10 and breakfasts are $5, and they're made to feed an army. Honestly, staying at Elia and Pedro's was the highlight of our entire Cuba trip.

Room Tip: Can't go wrong!

Our stay was very enjoyable! This Casa was the best we stayed at during our holiday on Cuba. I can highly recommend it. The rooms are nice, spacious and very clean. The dinner was good, too much for anyone to eat and the breakfast was very good as well. We also did the horseback riding they offer, which was also great. They speak very little English though. Anyways this didn't affect the hospitality we did experience.
