My wife and I stayed at the Summerland Waterfront Resort and Spa for three nights in Oct. 2012 and had a wonderfully peaceful stay. The front desk staff was very professional, personable and friendly. Our request to be moved to a King bed suite was handled in the most accommodating fashion. It was our 3rd stay at the hotel and we marveled again at how quiet the rooms are.
The rooms are well appointed and the kitchenets are well equipped. We were very pleased with the new french press/thermos and the excellent organic coffee, locally roasted by the Beanery Co. A definite plus! The views from the balcony overlooking the lake and the Naramata Bench are stunning. We'll certainly return for other mini holidays.

Room Tip: although there were many guests staying in the hotel we were unaware of other guests coming and goi...

We were at the summerland area for the wine festival last week. We stayed at several hotels and this one was the nicest by far. It was also reasonably priced with their fall sale on at that time. The room was extra clean and very nicely appointed. We would recommend this property to anyone.

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend at the end of September and had a wonderful time. The front counter staff were so personable and friendly when we checked in and took care of all our needs. The room was fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and our room had a balcony overlooking the beautiful Okanagan Lake. We woke up to gorgeous warm sunshine every morning. I think even if it rained it would have been beautiful. The bathroom had a sensor light that came on if you had to get up in the middle of the night and turned off very quickly, what a wonderful feature. Staying at the resort is only steps away from a gorgeous beach and play area. It was so relaxing being there. The food at the pub on the property is excellent and well priced. We will definately stay here again and I have already told many friends about this wonderful resort.

My wife and I stayed at the Summerland Resort and Spa for one night in September 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a beautiful hotel overlooking Okanagan Lake. The staff at check-in were welcoming and friendly and directed us to the most convenient (to our room) underground parking spot. We were on the first level and our studio room was fully equipped with a good sized flat screen television, an excellent kitchen area complete with stove and refrigerator and lovely granite counters. The walkout balcony overlooked the pool area and was large enough to accommodate a small table and chairs. It even had a birds-eye view of the lake (better views of the lake from the top floors are available). The bed was wonderful! Perfect mattress for my aching back and comfortable high thread cotton sheets made it easy to fall asleep. The only small negative was the fact that we could hear the thump, thump of people walking on the floor above us. One feature that I loved was the low level motion detector floor light that came on in the bathroom as soon as you walked in. No need to fumble around for a light switch or stumble around looking for the sink or toilet in the dark. We also like the proximity to the lake (just a few yards away) and the easy access to the scenic walkway along the lakeside (my wife and I went for a lovely morning walk on a gorgeous sunny day). Checkout staff were also extremely friendly and eager to help. I'll stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: The upper floors afford a better view of the lake and you won't hear anyone walking around in th...

We had a pleasant stay in a pool view room. Pool view rooms do not necissarily have a lake view so if you want a lake view be sure to specify when booking. The staff was very polite and efficient. The underground parking is great as the vehicle is secure and not out in the open. The rooms have a kitchenette and small dining area so you could prepare meals if you wanted since the kitchen had a full size stove and fridge. The bathroom had a light sensor build in. This is a really nice feature. If you have to use the washroom during the evening there is a soft light that comes on near the bathroom floor as soon as you step on the floor. The beds are very comfortable and provided a good nights sleep.

The only area we found somewhat disappointing is that the insulation between floors is very poor. We could continually hear footsteps from the unit above. I would suggest asking for a unit on the top floor.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor otherwise you'll hear the people above walking.

We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was superb and the kitchen facilities really suited our wishes to self-cater, especially for breakfast. We found the staff to be very friendly and really loved the location of the resort in relation to the Okanagan. The superb "Bottleneck Drive" with so many fun boutique wineries is located behind the hills of Summerland and the lovely village of Naramata is also close by.
Not having children, we would recommend staying outside school holiday time as the pool area can be quite noisy with excited children at night.
Other then that, we found Summerland to be the perfect resort and location to stay at.

Room Tip: Definitely choose a room with a lake view
