We stayed at the motel for 9 nights in late August. We quickly learned that there is a significant difference between the "old" building and "new" building. The old building is an absolute dump. Our room smelled, had mold growing between the tiles on the bathroom floor, and the most uncomfortable beds imaginable. We asked to be moved into the new building, and the management accommodated our request, but only after making us feel as though it was a major inconvenience to do so! They were rude when moving us, and even had the nerve to ask "didn't you look at the pictures online??"
The room in the new building was better by comparison. It was cleaner and the beds more comfortable, but we still feel the motel is overpriced. The pool isn't heated and the furniture is getting old.
If they owners want to continue to charge what they do for their rooms, it's time to renovate the old building and spend some money to update the decor and hotel amenities.
