Cozy Bay Seafood Café in downtown Summerland is a “must see” & “eat at” experience. My cup of seafood chowder was tasty & creamy - a perfect balance! Our battered halibut was hot, fresh and crispy, homestyle cut fries just right, and coleslaw - fresh, cold and perfectly dressed. Condiments at the table are varied and plentiful.
Reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment (always packed).
The menu includes seafood (clams, shrimp, crab cakes, oysters, prawns and scallops), and battered, breaded, combo, and gluten free cod, halibut and salmon options. You can also order smaller portions, less chips (10% discount), ½ and ½ (less chips & more coleslaw), or no chips (substitute caesar or house salad - $2 extra). They also have sweet chilli chicken or chicken strips for those who prefer meat.
Their new seafaring décor and ambiance is colourful, and interesting to look at and enjoy while awaiting your table or take-out order. Service is always friendly and quick, in a low key but fun atmosphere.
Go and enjoy this little gem while visiting the Okanagan – we do!
