It would be very true to state that we have stayed at much nicer and more "interesting" B&Bs that were full of antiques, plush towels, and were much more nicely appointed. However, having said that, the room we stayed in, that previously was in fact a garage, was clean, as were the linen and towels, and the bed we slept in was very comfortable. The electric heat gave us full temperature control but that night we decided to open the screened window and fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing upon the beach not far away. There was a bathroom (shower but no tub) but it in some ways it was more reminiscent of a cottage then a B&B. Breakfast was reflective of our host's European background, scrambled eggs with a platter of several types of German sausage, a block of cheese, coffee, and previously prepared dry toast. No juice, milk, fruit or jam was offered. Our host indicated to us that he was a widower and ran the B&B on his own - not likely the easiest of tasks nor one that I'd like to accept on my own. His dog was friendly and more than happy to sleep near our feet during breakfast which was served at the hour of our choosing. While this B&B is located off the beaten path, the view across the Bay was truly superb. Although not a consideration for us, its out of the way location would make day trips longer if one was staying several days. All in all, it certainly was an OK place for my wife and I to get away for an overnight stay, but this B&B is certainly not high star rated, nor fancy, and offers only the clean basics at best. If you wish to have more than that, pay a little more, and be closer to other amenities, there are several other B&Bs to choose from; and with that - the choice is now yours to make.
