“Lovely! Our Favourite BNB on PEI”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2012

We were on a cycling trip across the island, and the Victoria Inn was a stop in the middle. After a long day of riding, we were warmly greeted and shown our room. Our hosts were so friendly (but not overbearing) and made sure we had everything we needed. The suite was immaculate, and perfectly appointed. After a dinner out at the pub, we borrowed a movie (nice little touch, though don't expect the newest releases) and rested very comfortably. Breakfast in the morning was prompt, delicious, and filled us up for another big day ahead. After spending a week at BNBs across the island, we agreed that the Victoria Inn was the runaway favourite - the perfect combination of convenience (a short distance from the Confederation Trail,) hospitality, and comfort. Would love to go back, and have already recommended it to friends.

Perhaps I'm a different kind of traveller. I love a great sleep and early start to each day...no dust under these feet. We checked into the beautiful Inn late at night, great breeze coming in the windows and then tried to sleep. Hint: get a room at the back of the house - we were on the front of the house - on the town's main street - with traffic. Bed was super comfy! Down for breakfast at 8:10 (yes, that we sleeping in) to be told that breakfast is only served at 8:30. Wish I had been told as we were to pick up friends for the beach at 8:45. We stayed 2 nights (windows closed second night and awesome sleep). Owners are young and keen - we wish them great success with their venture!

Room Tip: Get a room at the back, away from the street, if you want to have your windows open.

We travel a lot. The issues with finding the type of B&B that we are looking for is that many sites (Internet) descriptions are far from what you get. How do B&B owners establish their guests acomodations when they haven't travel much in their life. This perticular B&B is well above the average by its decor, cleanliness, room size and esquisite
breakfast.

This is a beautifully restored Victorian home with gorgeous furnishings. It is near the downtown area and on a major route. No smoking and no pet facility. Absoutely spotless and comfortable. Our hosts were so cordial and a joy to be around. The inn does not have air conditioning so that could be a problem for someone in hot weather like we had. A circulating fan was provided.

We were in the Rosebriar Room which had a very comfortable queen bed. Offered a flat screen TV with limited channel lineup. Private bath was included. Enclosed shower, no tub. There was an exhaust fan.

Breakfast was fantastic. We dined on the glass-enclosed porch using fine antique china and dinnerware. Linen table cloths were neatly in place. Coffee was excellent. The main feature was a wonderful bagel that had on it ham, cheese, spinach, tomato, etc. Fresh fruit tasted really good for a change of pace. Cereals and yogurt were offered. Breads with different home-made jams were really great.

I again want to say that our hosts were just fantastic. They just made this B & B experience one to be remembered. Make sure you stay here when in Kensington.

Just got back from PEI and we stayed at the Victoria Inn. What a gorgeous little B & B. We got a tour of the house from the owner and wow...the rooms are all beautifully decorated. Since we were traveling with our daughter, we took one of their housekeeping units for the night that slept four. The unit was again, beautifully decorated with all amenities. The Unit was $125.00 per night.

After a great night sleep, we had breakfast at the Inn. The table was set with antique china and wonderful linens. The breakfast consisted of a delicious egg bake, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee. All for $5.00.

I can't say enough about this wonderful gem. It's centrally located in PEI, on a quiet street, in a town with a grocery store and LCBO.

I would recommend this Inn to anyone traveling through PEI. We were passing through and were happy to find a room for the night...couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Wow...this place was just amazing. If you want to stay in a Bed and Breakfast in a wonderful character home then this place has it all. We were shown 4 different rooms and each room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. If you needed more than a one bedroom, this place had housekeeping units that were also available that have a well stocked kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room. These units were wonderful and were located on some rather beautiful grounds. To top it off, our friends stayed in one of the housekeeping units and we joined them in the main house for breakfast and the owners had set the tables with the nicest china and the food was layed out on a side board beside the table and was absolutely delicious. We were able to enjoy the food and were able to sit around and visit for a few hours with the hosts checking in every now and then to see if there was anything they could get for us. This place is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the greater Kensington/Summerside area in PEI.

We stayed at the Victoria Inn in Mid-July and were extremely pleased with our experience. The owners were very hospitable and knowledgeable on the area. The suite we stayed in was very clean, beautifully decorated in Victorian style, and well-stocked. Breakfasts were definitely a treat. They were very special, delicious breakfasts. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. I can't imagine a better b & b experience!
