The first impression you have is when the paved road ends and you turn into a winding road leading into the woods. The dirt road was two rock tracks for one vehicle so it won't get stuck in the mud. This winding track goes on forever over small hills and dense growth and finally there is a farm on the side of the road. You pass the farm and go on forever again. You round a corner and there is a wall and gate to the resort. Its white stucco stands out against the forest colors around it. As we spent some time looking around little things begin to be become very noticeable - someone is doing a very poor job of taking care of the resort. The stucco has cracked and stained at many corners and peeled away. Metal rails are rusted, flagstone walkways are all cracked. The outside condition of the buildings is not much better. The room interiors are somewhat better but after a while the whole place feels tired. If you want a place away from everything this will be the spot for you.

Room Tip: Bring lots of reading material or this could be the right place to write a book about your adventure...

We spent a very nice evening at the Sitio as part of our ending reception of Meeting Place Morelos. The 'getting there' was a challenge. You'd never imagine anything at the end of the very long, desolate road that will only allow for one vehicle. Unfortunately it rained much of the evening, but we had the opportunity to view the rooms and spa. The pool spa is unusual in that it is mostly underground with something like a small planetarium area and presentation before you enter the many cavernous pools. I am told the massages can take place in the water.

I feel I dodged a bullet not staying at the hotel. although remote might be what you are looking for, it isn't for me. I enjoy walking into town or hopping on a city bus. There is no leaving this resort on foot. It is jungle for miles and miles.

The rooms were very large, but certainly dated. A strange stairway up leads to a personal rooftop spa of dubious condition. Most were green and in complete disrepair. The rooftop balcony areas were sad and contained no chairs or any way to enjoy the outside. One plus for this hotel was AC! Most do not. There is no internet in the rooms, only common areas. This is an automatic fail for me. I hear the bugs at night are plentiful. I will pass...

The restaurant and bar area are very nice with beautiful views. The food service was good and not overpriced.

Room Tip: If you are there to enjoy a private hot tub.. check it out first. Many do not work and from the loo...

Last Sept 15th my boyfriend and I wanted to spend a great weekend in this so called 'exclusive' hotel. The 1st day (and obviously last), when we came back to the room from the 'vip massage', which took about 80min, we realized someone entered the room and stole our cash!! Obviously we did not want to stay anymore. It is NOT a safe place. We said we were going to pay for what we've already used: the spa and something we drank at the pool. But you know what's the worst part of the story? The hotel DID NOT want to discount the room! We were only 3h and more than 2h out of it!! They charged everything but the breakfast and 2 other massages we were going to have the next day! They treated us awfully. They thought we were making everything up. PLEASE, DO NOT COME HERE and please advise others not to. It is not value for money at all.

Room Tip: DO NOT go to ROOM 11. That's were they stole our cash. Actually, the hotel does not have safety...

Just spent an office team building event at the Sitio Sagrado. Just outside Mexico City I found the hotel extremely nice and great for a relaxing weekend get away. The food was very good and the service impeccable. My room was also very nice with a nice and firm bed and great rain shower in the bathroom.
Overall this is a great place to get away from the stress of one of the world's biggest cities and the spa is actually fantastic!. Make sure you take a good book, a nice bathing suit, maybe some yoga clothing, and time for the spa.
A great get away from Mexico City

I visited for the restaurant. Style is unusual, it's very American Southwest spa style. Grounds are nice but not traditional hacienda style. Restaurant food best in the area.
