The first impression you have is when the paved road ends and you turn into a winding road leading into the woods. The dirt road was two rock tracks for one vehicle so it won't get stuck in the mud. This winding track goes on forever over small hills and dense growth and finally there is a farm on the side of the road. You pass the farm and go on forever again. You round a corner and there is a wall and gate to the resort. Its white stucco stands out against the forest colors around it. As we spent some time looking around little things begin to be become very noticeable - someone is doing a very poor job of taking care of the resort. The stucco has cracked and stained at many corners and peeled away. Metal rails are rusted, flagstone walkways are all cracked. The outside condition of the buildings is not much better. The room interiors are somewhat better but after a while the whole place feels tired. If you want a place away from everything this will be the spot for you.
