What a beautiful resort. Spectator grounds and views! The owners and staff were very accommodating and friendly. Even though we were a large group, they managed to serve delicious meals. The owner even arranged our transportation back to the airport with his own car and driver. (thanks Paul). The town of Tepopztlan is lovely and you can find some nice souvenirs at good prices. Would recommend to staying at this resort.

It is such an amazing location and property. There is a pool, a hot tub, a spa -including huts for massages, steam baths, and a small salon-, and plenty of delightful seating area around the hotel. The landscaping and gardens are worth perusing. In addition, the owners and staff are wonderfully kind people and very accommodating.

The owners are environmentally conscious when it comes to using water and other material usage in the lavatories, and they do ask the guests to be aware of the signs in the facilities. Irons and other materials can be asked for at the front desk, if necessary.

There are farms around the property and guests can hear rosters and dogs while staying at the hotel. I suppose this brings us closer to our roots and nature. There are also wonderful song birds, very colorful and lovely to take pictures of around the gardens.

Carnival was going on in the town of Tepoztlan until mid-week while we were there. We did go into the town with a small group from the hotel during the activities, and we felt very safe. The festivities were spectacular, with lots of music, market kiosks, and dancing.

Once Carnival was finished on Ash Wednesday, the town returned to its quiet humble self. We did walk around without any issues and bought some lovely gifts from the local market vendors that the town hosts.

Lastly, the scenery of the surrounding mountains is almost dreamlike, with lush greens and daring heights. Not far from the hotel property is a trail that can be walked up the mountain side (or jogged if you are in great shape!).

We do recommend a visit to this wonderful hotel.

My girl friend and I spent 4 nights at La Buena Vibra in late December during the week just prior to Christmas, not during the usual busy weekends. We were extremely happy with our stay and can't wait to come back again. The staff, owners, and the owner's visiting Queen Mum bent over backwards to take care of us during our stay including everything from meals, suggestions on things to do and places to visit, having the hot tub ready for us, and providing a very relaxing getaway for us. The room was very comfortable and clean and provided everything we needed for a fabulous time together. Upon entering the grounds you can't help but enter a complete state of relaxation that stays with you for a long time after you leave.

I can't stress enough how beautiful La Buena Vibra and Tepoztlan are. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to experience such a magical area whilst staying in such a tasteful and shockingly beautiful place. The magical mountains loom over the heavily planted walls of the hotel, changing color with the light of the day, seemingly transporting any guest to another time and place. The decor is top notch, and manages to seemlessly blend Indian and Southeast Asian influences with the local Mexican and Latin design into one calming oasis. The spa, in particular, is stunning, as are the treatments. One can even have a massage in one of their private treatment rooms which have walled in gardens in back, in order to privately meditate, unseen to all except the ever present mountains.
The town is so authentic and picturesque, I can't believe it manages to exist in the 21st century. I still get overwhelming cravings for the food in the covered market, and am thrilled that the goods and clothes I bought in the market are a point of jealousy for my unfortunate friends who haven't had the chance to visit. It is truly a special, one of a kind area that will continue to take your breath away throughout your trip.
Horseback riding up and down some of the mountains was a real highlight, and, even though it was my first ever time on a horse, everyone was super friendly and considerate, and the views were spectacular, and by the end I was convinced I was the Sundance Kid.
La Buena Vibra has character to match the beautiful town which surrounds it. One will leave feeling as if they had truly accomplished something, having gone on an original and authentic trip full of excursions, delicious food, and great people. I can not recommend it highly enough

La Buena Vibra Hotel is as much as of a natural wonder as the mountains that encapsulate it. Upon my arrival to to the hotel I was witness to the incredible charm and real culture in Tepoztlan and the kind people in the town. After driving by exquisite family homes on a small tree lined road with only the mountains and sky above, we entered La Buena Vibra.
Yoga in the mornings led by Tanya Witmond in a room reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright with only the mountains as backdrop. Also, amazing excursions to see in the area, horseback riding, climbing the Tezpoteco, the Aztec pyramids in the Teotihuacan. I went with my boyfriend and we would go back every year if we could. It is a place to get away from the ruins of normal rushed society and being giving the ability to get back in touch in the things that matter most, nature, love and soul. It is a family owned hotel, where the staff who are not family feel as though they could be. Service is fantastic and the food is AMAZING. The Witmonds, who own the hotel could not be kinder, or more enjoyable people to meet. New Years Eve Party was unforgettable and personal. They take true pride in their creation and it is really a great accomplishment to witness. If you are lucky enough to go to La Buena Vibra hotel, you will never forget it.

There really isn't anything that can prepare you for the overwhelming beauty as you walk around the grounds of La Buena Vibra. With unparalleled views, such detailed decorations from around the world (a lot of which came originally from Asia), luscious gardens and stylish architecture, La Buena Vibra really stands out as one of the most beautiful hotels you will find.

They have countless fruit trees and an organic garden providing you with all of the freshly cooked and delicious food available at their restaurant. Their spa offers an international variety of services you would find in high end spas. The service when you need it is excellent and when you don't need it, you are given the peace and tranquility to enjoy your natural and beautiful surroundings.

I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Mexico in general and Tepoztlan in particular.
