Since we stayed at Casa las tortugas, we had the complimentary breakfast every day, lunch a few times and dinner one evening.

The food is above average, good and fresh. The staff is nice although a bit confused and impersonal. Overall the restaurant is nice with a beautiful setting but feels a bit pretentious without having any coverage for it (primarily during the evening service), for example having overambitious platings. It feels as they are trying to be a fine dining restaurant when they should be aiming a bit lower.

Lovely restaurant, pretty decor with a wonderful Caribbean sea view. Food was delicious (highly recommend the scallops and mango, the grilled shrimp with avocado and corn, and the snapper with sesame coating) with lovely presentation. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. They even have mosquito spray on hand for guests if they're troubling you. It also looks like a great place to stay. The prices are also very good, and they serve decent portions.

We came across this little boutique hotel and restaurant just down the beach from where we were staying. I have to say that by first glance the décor and setting of this hotel is absolutely beautiful.

The hotel offers a breakfast for guests staying there, the sunset dinner we had as wonderful and the staff awesome. A special shout out to Josiemar (I hope I've spelled your name correctly) who was our server for dinner and Renata who served us lunch on our first visit.

The rates to stay are a bit pricey but it is a beautiful spot on the island.

The Mandarina Resturant is a more upscale Restaurant then you will find in town and situated in a beautiful outdoor beach setting. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a very delicious meal one entree being fresh snapper fillet in a wonderful sauce with mashed potatoes, the other entree was a very tender sliced pork tenderloin also in a delicious sauce topped with mashed potatoes. The presentation of each entree was very well done. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers and entree selections as well as desserts to choose from. We shared a Tiramisu for dessert which was a great way to end our dinning experience. This was the most pricy restaurant we ate at during the week we spent on Isla Holbox but I have always found that to be true of Hotel restaurants. I certainly would recommend the Mandarina for a beautiful dinning experience
